20 minutes in & Killie well on top so far

If this keeps up, the only way we are gonna win is to steal it

Loads of time & anything can happen but we need to get into the game first

If we can stay up surely we won’t try and get Ambrose back, always likely to sell one and lost the pace he used to have to recover. Not sure how he played at such a high level.

We’ll have to be very clinical to get anything today, ayr getting beat so no ground lost at the moment.

Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

I thought it was a goal out of bad defending ! and my first instinct also it was offside !!
At present Killie are doing what we have been doing of late they are getting into our faces and not giving us time on the ball
We need to start doing the same or we will take nothing from this game right now we are playing like we did at Inverness (crap)
Also we are not getting anything from the officials

We need to start pressing Killie more , just now we are miles off them and letting them come at us ! we are making them look better than they really are ( or am i wearing the wrong tinted glasses ? )
Hopefully we can address this at half time we also need every player to step up and give everything in the second half

It`s hard watching Efe - is it a lack of confidence?
I`m not wanting to get on the guy`s back but I`d rather Lewis Martin came on in his place, second half.

Never seen efe sprint, so laid back it and carefree in possession it comes across like he doesn’t care, I suspect he doesn’t. I tend to prefer my defenders committed.

The sort of player that would sell a goal and try the same thing 2 minutes later.

Difficult to tell from the PPV coverage whether Lafferty was offside for the goal but suspect he was played on by (I think) Lawless or Chalmers.
We`re definitely second best though. Killie are sharper, faster, pressing higher and bossing us in general. Our defence has just not been at the races - and it`s not just Ambrose.
DT is also not having one of his best games.
Thank goodness Jakub is though.

Another week where we come in buzzing after a terrific win only to completely let ourselves down. Efe is one player I hope isn`t at the club next season. I`d rather we kept Gasputis at the club as he was a much more solid centre back. Ambrose gets outpaced far too many times and takes far too long on the ball.

I can`t understand how we can look so good in our last two home games and rank rotten in our last two away games. We must win our last three games now if we have any chance of avoiding the playoffs. I`ve had horrible images of Callum Smith coming back to haunt us if we finish 9th.

Worst performance of the season for me. Killie weren`t that good but they didn`t have to be as we more than helped them out with some terrible performances.
Going to 3 at the back for the 2nd half was confusing but the substitutions, Lawless apart he was rotten again, were terrible. I would love to know the thinking behind them.
How Todd, Dow and Ambrose lasted 90 minutes I`ll never understand.
A real bump back down to earth after a good home performance.

Absolutely dire, as bad as we have been this season, 2-0 was kind, the young keeper did well but all the outfield players were various levels of hopeless. Disappointing given how we have been playing recently and given how the previous 3 and a half games were competitive against Killie, was expecting a much tighter contest and a much better performance. Inverness was bad as well but at least we had a 20 minute spell on top up there. I thought at half time, that it was only 1 nil and surely we would improve second half, but somehow we were even worse.

The only positive apart from Jakub, was that it was only 2 zip. That needs to be quickly forgotten!

Never got going today at all. Kilmarnock had us penned in for 90% of the game. Bringing on so many subs all at once, when it was still 1-0 and we still had a chance of salvaging a point seemed a strange tactic. It didn`t help and just make us look more disjointed and led to increasing pressure that resulted in the second goal and nil point.

That was embarrassingly poor, especially in the second half where we were just kicking it anywhere when we could get a foot on the ball. I was worried about the quick turnaround after Wednesday night which probably drained the team physically and emotionally. Maybe Yogi should have made some changes to the starting line-up but you could understand why he only made the enforced change, although that didn`t work at all. All we can do is forget about that performance asap and start focussing on next week`s game. In this crazy league anything can happen.

Yogi said he was happy with the ref but not the far-side linesman. Thankfully the ref didn`t affect the result but I thought he was poor. On numerous occasions he initially let play continue but then blew for a foul (usually against us!) apparently in response to the crowd`s reaction or a Killie player rolling around. The media corps and Yogi seemed to think we should have had a penalty at the start of the second half but I can`t remember that incident.

Didnt`t expect too much today. Hopefully no injuries and the goal difference + confidence didn`t take a battering.

Lafferty is still a cut above this level. Two guys today on the park who have played in the Champions League (three if Burke played?) and it was evident who got the better half of that statistic !!

The last two games have shown that when our way of playing works, it can be very good but when it doesn`t , it`s awful and we have nothing else to go to. The first goal came from a bad attempted pass out of defence, something we`d tried and failed with many times before that. It really did feel like a goal from us giving the ball away around our own box was inevitable.

Kilmarnock did play well today and had it been the other way I`d have been really havppy with that. However, you always have to look at your own team, and we were a total shambles. Inverness game was bad for trying to play out in tight spots when it wasn`t on, and today was just an extreme version of that. At one point in the first half I couldn`t even get words out to describe it - what we were trying to do was utterly crazy, was obviously not working and was not going to work.

Kilmarnock have had a good run recently and did look a side near the top of the league today. The score isn`t a disgrace, but the way the game went really was terrible. I actually think we were worse today than away to Hamilton in December, which is some achievement.

The one positive thing was that our keeper played well, made some good saves and prevented us from losing by a score that would have been a more accurate reflection of the play.

Our away form is dreadful - didn’t think we’d get anything from today tbh but it’s disappointing the team hasn’t been able to go and get a result away from home after some really good days/nights at EEP recently - it’s actually really concerning. Makes me think we’ll lose at Firhill despite just thumping them!

JH has managed win one game away from home; QOS, 2-0.

Looks like our abysmal away form has a lot more to do with the tactics deployed rather than the general competence of the players.

Given how this game unfolded, and various other away games (eg Morton 5-0), something just doesn’t wash - when you see what we’re like playing at home.

Today could easily have been 5-0, or even a lot more, so why not try taking the game to the opposition?

Really looks like our aim, when playing away, is to sit back …. hasn’t helped the cause at all. JH made it clear that he wants clean sheets, so I can see why the away tactics are so cautious.

Pretty naff to watch though.

Tbh, the away form isn`t just isolated to this season. We`re in the bottom 3 for away points the past 3 seasons, so theres just something not clicking away from home.
