Are thousands and thousands of fans being required to travel to another city for a ludicrously early start cup tie that could have been played in a far superior venue at the traditional kick off time in their own city?

Agreed, plus Hampden is a crap stadium to watch football for anyone behind the goals

They probably could’ve sold another 10k+ tickets at Murrayfield as well.

If it had been played at Murrayfield then money that wouldn`t have went into Scottish football would have instead went into Scottish rugby. We`re lucky in Scotland that attending most games don`t involve long journeys. It`s only 54 miles from Edinburgh City Center to Hampden. In heavy traffic that would take an hour to drive. On Saturday morning a lot less.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

It have been very “green” in many ways, as well as the pitch - public transport for the Easter Roaders and a brisk walk for the Georgie Roaders!
