Morning peeps
I wonder if I could ask a wee favour of you all, please.
I realise this is a hugely important match today and emotions will be running high, both on here and at the game, but in case there’s network problems at EEP (which are outwith my control) can I ask you not to log on to the forum until HT then FT ~ so I can get the updates to go in for the readers. If ye find that you can’t log on that’s usually the sign to look for.
I’ll completely understand if ye forget and are gnashing yer teeth and pulling yer hair oot (cos we’ve run oot o bridies and you’ve been in the queue since ko).
Merci buckets my lovelies.
Mon the Paaaars 🖤🤍❤️

Makes you think about the whole pre-contract thing, imagine one of our mob has signed a pre with Queens or maybe Airdrie

Had heard a few whispers a while back regarding Queens Park and, even more out of left-field, Darvel in the juniors but that was back when PG was in charge and there was obviously a big personality clash there.

The passing has been poor overall. In defence of Chalmers though, he’s played a few good balls forward today for others to run on to. Just shows what can be done with a less defensive mind set.

We have been on the decline for the last few years and some of the decisions made by the club in terms of pricing and matchday experience are baffling.

Inexcusable if you can`t even score a goal against the 4th best team in league one. Deserve to go down, Hughes must leave and a massive rethink on the football operations side of things at the club. The board have to take full responsibility for the shambles they`ve created. Where do you even start with rebuilding the squad?

Sadly, we got exactly what we deserved.
When JH arrived he mentioned some of the great people that have graced the club ... what a sad sad contribution and legacy he has delivered.
Total underachievement, lacklustre tactics and shameful attitude at pretty much every conceivable level.
With 6 games to go the fortunes of the club were totally within our control; yet every game was played with an ethos of `not losing` ... so, that went well didn`t it?

Punting the ball up to O’Hara constantly was shocking, he never won an Ariel battle the whole game, Grant and the other defender were rubbing there hands together at that. How Hughes didn’t see that earlier and change the formation up is embarrassing, the guy has no clue he should do the honourable thing and resign

Shocking tactics today, never looked like picking up a 2nd ball either with lawless, polworth and dorrans in the middle who offer nothing and always on heels or out of position.
Players played like they knew the game was up and if it wasn’t they wouldn’t want to stay anyway. Yogi the great bloativator has none of them playing for him.
Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

A fitting end to a disgrace of a season, a team sadly that will live long in the memory.

The year we went into admin and had the youth team playing we performed better than we have this season. Those laddies done us proud. This lot done us up like kippers.
There is no desire, they think they have it made or come here for some retirement money. The teams that win are those with the will to win they earn the right. Something isn’t right at our club.

1 up front to that mob! I’d be absolutely amazed if airdrie don’t pump them over 2 legs, Queen’s Park were rubbish and I thought we were better team until the red card. Subs yet again shocking how did lawless last so long? Empty shirt and has been for weeks like the rest of them. We got what we deserved over the season

In the post-match interviews JH said the ref got it right but JP said he wasn`t sure if there was contact! Even if it was a foul I wasn`t convinced it was an OGSO. I was surprised there wasn`t more discussion of it on here but I think we`ve got to the stage where most of us have become resigned to our fate and just accepted it. Imagine if we appealed it and it was rescinded! We haven`t had much luck with refs this season but these sorts of decisions tend to take on more significance when you`re struggling.

I`d been telling myself, we`d been lucky to squeak into the play offs but we`d be OK because they`re weighted in favour of the highest ranking team, with the 2nd leg at home.
I didn`t see that coming yesterday after getting a draw at Firhill, but thought Airdrie would run us close next week.
In retrospect, our relegation was confirmed yesterday, but the writing was on the wall as far back as last October. I looked the other way. As gutted now as I was when the Pars were relegated from the top flight 50 years ago, after a decade of unparalleled success.
Not your average Sunday League player.

Did anyone else notice Peter Grant Jnr giving it large to Pars` fans after the game? No doubt he saw it as some sort of retribution for his dad`s dismissal - a wee bit ironic considering his dad was a significant reason why we were involved in that match yesterday.

They wanted to charge us twenty quid for that. Just let that register for a second. This board only act on behalf of the fans when they are shamed into it, they are not ‘one of our own’ despite the tragic banner. And we need to stop with the obsessive blaming of Grant considering we were in touching distance of mid table when he was finally punted. Clown shoes Hughes is fully culpable for this along with that mob in the boardroom.
