Untenable position for him surely. Pointless slow possession football, poor tactics and substitutions consistently. No sign of improving the players here or bringing in what was required in January. I don`t know how you could justify bringing him back after his performance as manager since coming in with plenty of time to turn the season around and the anger/apathy of the fanbase

No no no we can`t have another season of his negative tactics. One up front shambles get him and the coaching staff out.Who do we get haven`t a clue but wont be near East End park till this mess gets sorted.Do I have any faith in this board to get it right, again on past history another no.Season ticket sales will be purchased or not on what the club do during the close season to inspire the Pars support,God knows we need a lift after enduring that.

We can’t just keep swapping out our manager every 6/9 months or we’ll get nowhere in the mid to long term, but it needs to be the right man to build for the future. Whoever this will be, expect hard times in the early stages

I thought JH would have much more of an impact and not for a minute did I think his football would be so poor to watch.
I don`t know how much his hands were tied with it being a january window and us being desperate but his signings have made no improvement in results or performances in truth some of his signings have been woeful chambers and polworth in particular, the loan signing of kamwa was a waste the kid played about 120mins in total.
The fans chanting at the end, honestly the board will have to terminate his deal, a couple of bad results at the start of the season and the place will be toxic which we can`t afford.
He was tasked with keeping us in the division, he has failed so for me his time here is up

Go 100%, made no progress since he came in so clearly not the man for the job. I supported his appointment. I thought he was the right man to keep us up. Ultimately he had us relegated in first play off stage which is a disgrace and we deserve relegation.
I still blame the board for taking too long with PG dismissal and the rot had set in. He relegated Alloa last year and us this year. Total disaster!!

He should go. But to say he didn’t bring an improvement in results is wrong. We hadn’t won before he came in. Think since he came in we are 6th/7th in the form table. So it was Grants tenure that killed us.
However it has been dreadful and not what I expected from the change. Poor tactics, often so passive with not enough fight. Slow and laboured. No intensity or intent with the passing. Same with the subs. Awful just awful.
He brought in players in Polworth, Lawless, Donaldson and Ambrose who have either played in title winning sides or a much higher level and not been able to get them to influence it enough.
Need a complete change.
Hamish French.

Yogi has improved us?? To the point where we couldn`t score a goal in 2 games against Queens Park?
Recent performances vs ICT, Partick, Killie, QOS and Queens Park (x2) have been dreadful and no improvement on what Grant produced whatsoever. We finished the season every bit as bad as we started it.
The club will try to scrape together a transfer kitty so he can sign the likes of Chalmers?
I`ve seen nothing to suggest Hughes can take us forward.

Don`t like his style of football, pedestrian from back to front and too many players of the same kind, giving us poor shape and no balance in the team, with midfielders playing wide and wingers playing midfield from game to game but mostly they are dire to watch. For that reason I would prefer he left the club.

However you package it up we haven`t even been able to make the playoffs and we have been beaten at home. I think that we are probavly at best a league 1 average team at the moment, I think it is time for change from manager through the coaching staff and players, we are top heavy in coaches and management staff so streamlining will be inevitable as we need to reduce costs. It won`t be any easy task to get out of league 1 next year and i doubt we will achieve it with the present manager and majority of players at the club. I think it will be a bottom up reconstruction with development of a youth academy that may take a few years to develop,

Out for me too. His team selections and tactics and general outlook on matches are far too negative for me. All too often our most creative players who looked capable of doing something special and creating chances, taking set pieces, or scoring get left out or hardly get a look in (Thomas, Cole, Kamwa) but other less attacking players like Chalmers were played every week. No good having possession if we can’t score. Our build up and tempo was usually so slow and not direct enough that defences could get organised and were very difficult to breakdown. Doesn’t help when players with more flair who might unlock defences are not played. Often not enough players from midfield bombing forward to support and get on the end of the ball. Time for a complete reboot. All the current coaches were defenders - let’s at least have one attacking coach. I’d be wary of replacing Hughes with Brown at this stage as he is unproven as a manager. Brown had a successful playing career and is clearly a winner with great drive. He may make a good manager; but don’t forget we have had very successful players as managers in the past ( Stanton, Forsyth) who didn’t succeed.

I have no faith Yogi style of 60% possession and 1 striker will do anything different in league one even with a player summer refresh. The january transfers did eventually steady the backline and players did look like they knew what job roles they had in contrast to Peter Grants attempts. A strong character and well known in the game but failure to keep us up its a no from me. His best period was maybe with Brian Rice helping ? May have been better bringing in a buddy officially like most teams have.

I think as was said on another post. We were beaten by an under strength Queens Park. I was never convinced about JH but willing to give him the opportunity. He is not in himself responsible for relegation there were other factors. The question I ask myself is if he us the one to get us out of league one. He has improved some aspects of our game and has had a bit of a hill to climb after PGs departure. I suspect the way he spoke after the game his position is safe. It must have been discussed. There may be things going on behind the scenes that we are not aware of that feed into that. I do think we need to rebuild the team from the bottom up. I think that there will be a readjustment in the coaching staff, Dorrans has a year on his contract so I think he will step into a player coach role. We will have to cut back in some asprcts of the club for league 1 I am sure. This will all come out in the next few weeks. JH perhaps will be given the opportunity to bring in players to form his own team.

I see where you are coming from Indiapar but Hughes had the transfer window to bring in his own players and the ones he brought in heavily contributed to our downfall, our biggest failing was lack of goals yet we played one up front most of his tenure and the problem was never really addressed and bringing on strikers with a few minutes to go is madness what was he seriously expecting , im afraid i would like to see the back of him and the coaches and bring in someone with more positive ideas

I was hoping that Yogi would be away immediately after the game yesterday. Judging by his interview and the posts on this site, it looks like the board have made yet another c*ck up by not inserting a relegation clause into his contract, otherwise he surely would have been away by now. I have supported the club for over 50 years and never felt so disillusioned and angry as I did yesterday after the game. Along will many others that I spoke to yesterday, I will not be renewing my season unless he is removed from his position. I just hope that the board don`t underestimate the anger felt by the supporters when season ticket renewals come up again in a few weeks time, otherwise they could be in for a shock if Yogi is still in charge.

Gordi-b On balance of performance I agree that I think JH should probably go. I`m just trying to understand on what basis the board would keep him on. The way he was tslking yesterday he isn`t going anywhere and I am wondering if that had already been predetermined by the board irrespective of the result. We were losing goals from basic errors and I wonder if it was a clear tactic to stop that. It obviously hasn`t helped us at the end of the day but I think this team was never good enough anyway for us to plsy much differently. The January window I feel we ended up with a makeshift team and players brought in who were avsilabke snd naybe not what we wanted. I hope that in League 1 we are in a better position to attract better players as theoretically we are a bigger club. Time will tell.

I want him to go. Half a season is enough time to at least show some improvement and show more fight but that hasn`t happened.
Not enforcing a relegation clause into his contract is just pure stupidity from the board.

Total clear out needed
Those so called " experienced heads " that Hughes brought in ?
They might have been good in their day, but they all have something in common slow as sh--e
As for a strike force of Todorov and McCann?
We all knew Efe was a disaster waiting to happen
I do think that Peter Grant was the main root cause of ruining the team and his signings were a bad joke but Hughes has been no better
Unfortunately the guy we should have had has gone to Falkirk
Remember this man has built teams with a fraction of the money that has been spent at East End
Wait till you see how much money has been spent on wages this year on haddies
go and take all the signings with him
