Just put it on.
So basically we`re worse than this pair...oh how the mighty have fallen.
5 years of going backwards but nobody at the club could see it.
Hughes should be kicked out just on the QP game alone never mind the crap before that.
Anyway come on QP I`ve got them on the coupon 😄

That’s exactly what I thought when listening to him. Talked a lot about the fact there wasn’t a lot of skilful players at the club at the time, just players that wanted to win. That’s how Bert and Dick ran the club. How times have changed

Yeah but they had to beat the team from the championship to get the right to play airdrie
Don’t know the stats, but I’m guessing the championship team usually would dispatch the 4th best team in the third tier
It also shows the importance of getting momentum and a strong finish

Congratulations to Queens park. Hope Hughes was watching that. They played with total determination and spirit and thoroughly deserved their win. They have some good players, particularly the guy Fox at the back. Outstanding against us and solid as a rock again today.

Like your post wee eck !
Unless we change manager , change our outlook and tactics to have more than one up front and bring in decent players !
With the players we are left with that lot couldn`t beat an EGG !!
And If JH didn`t have His head up his A*** we could have still been in the Championship , we were beat before we even kicked a ball !

Over the piece, the ten League One clubs are not all that much different in size from the ten Championship clubs. Next season would have been a good year for Pars to have been in the Championship ...
Dundee, ICT/St Johnstone, Arbroath, Partick, Raith, Hamilton, Morton, Ayr, Cove Rangers, Queens Park.

When you look at the clubs who will be in the championship it kinda brings it home how far we`ve slipped.

Yeah, we should be looking at the clubs in the Championship next year and if we were in it, I`d be thinking "we can take these teams".
As it is, I`m looking at the teams in League 1, and I`m thinking I`m not looking forward to seeing us playing half the teams because they will take us

I understand what red star is saying and 100% agree. That Championship looks woeful when you look at the teams, Ayr Partick Hamilton Morton QP etc etc. The games of football you get against them teams are awful.
League 1 will be tough next season with a good few teams playing attractive attacking football, if we don’t buck our ideas up we could be in trouble.
Us and Peterhead the only grass pitches in the league..

What I was meaning is that a club like ours should be in the Championship, not showing any fear about facing the clubs that will be in it, but due to horrendous miss management, we are in the league below and I`m feeling nervous about facing Montrose and Kelty Hearts instead

Couple of things come to mind, we may now have a poorer budget for recruitment.
The plastic pitches , and it`s always difficult to return to the division when dropping down.
Falkirk for example

These are both fair points, Tenruh. Our budget will surely be cut, especially if fans don`t renew their STs as many have threatened to do, and I certainly don`t like artificial pitches which add an extra dimension to games. On the positive side didn`t Partick Thistle come straight back up after being relegated from the Championship two years ago?

The standard will be poor. A half-decent side will win plenty of games and challenge.
Yet to be seen if we will be that team.

Don`t think the standard could be any worse than the championship to be honest DA go and it might be a bit better to watch as I think there is more attack minded teams in our league, just hope we are one of them!
