If you think that’s bad then I dread to see the reaction on here when ours are released. I’d guess ours for the Norrie will be around £300, Falkirk at 245 isn’t that bad. Overheads at EEP will be much higher than other clubs at this level

Inflation`s running at around 10% so, even if they freeze ST prices at last season`s, they`ll be well down on last year`s income per ticket in real terms.

IMO this is one of the biggest factors the Board will have to wrestle with. The season ticket income taken in won`t grow, but it will have to be used to pay costs that will increase over the year.
Should the prices be higher to reflect the increasing costs that are likely, even although many fans are already struggling or perhaps haven`t yet appreciated the cost of living increases coming down the line?
Or can they square the circle by some innovative pricing structure that encourages ST purchases but still meets costs? Difficult.

I think it`s a very good structure, maybe you can quibble about OAP getting discounts, but there will be a few pensioners with only a state pension, so fair does
The kids, U18 and students is great to hear, a cracking deal.
No complaints about overall cost to be honest, once you think about it, there`s not a lot of room for reduction. Walk up fans won`t pay if we are mince, but if we are doing well they will, same as every season.
One thing that most English clubs do is a discount for individual tickets if bought in advance, might make more income if on game day it`s peeing down.

It is a simple solution Parrot, but the club has made it clear that they need season ticket money, as it`s their biggest source of income.
Recommending fans stay away, as it may be too dear, is not helpful.
I fully understand that the younger generation will be happy, but for those of us in the middle aged section who have mortgages, families etc to consider a £6 reduction is very minimal for what will be on offer. Some tough decisions ahead for fans, that could impact the club if they can`t justify paying the asked amount.
The flame still burns

It`s an excellent price for students and under 21s but a bit steep for adult season ticket holders. £20 a game is ridiculous for the third tier in Scottish Football. I`ve had a season ticket for over 20 years now but will have a good think about renewing this time.
The positive is that I`d like to think we could get a massive increase in younger fans attending this season which would be a massive plus for the clubs future.

No. I used to get one but now I can`t go every week so there is no point. If I did I would buy one. Circumstances change all the time. Two years ago I couldnt afford the cost up front. Last year I could but couldn't go. This year I dont need one but im contemplating sponsoring a match. Swings and roundabouts but the club has to set prices that pay bills and wages. My rollercoaster life doesn`t change what those costs are.

It could be £30, doesn`t guarantee we will be a winning team. I thought we would have realised that after last season and seeing teams like Arbroath fight right to the end for the title and how disastrous it ended for us - with what should have been enough funds for a winning team.
I do like the way David Cook approaches himself though and understand where he is coming from but I still think £20 a game is expensive, especially for this level. I understand the gas and electricity prices and inflation affects the club heavily but it also heavily impacts fans. I`d imagine many fans will be considering renewing due to this.

Would you think twice about sinking 4 pints in an evening, or actually over a fortnight. £20 right there.
I would rather watch a home match for £20 than sink 4 pints.
I spent £80 on a meal out with the wife at the weekend and thats about what I expected it to be. Apparently thats cheap!

£20 for a game of football really is not too much.

£20 night not be much for you, with the rise in so many costs some people are struggling to even feed the family so £20 might be alot
That is certainly true but if you are skint you are skint so you cant afford any of these things.
Still, in comparison to other forms of entertainment, it is not too much for the product. Especially if the goalis to improve the product to meet the expectations of the purchaser.

£20 for a game of football really is not too much.
Yes, yes it is. For 3rd tier Scottish football its a shambles.
For this league it should be 16/17 quid max. I think for a lot of folk this price is a few quid too far. The club have been pretty good with the other prices bar this. David Cook should review this and bring it down a smidge.

We will find out whether it is right by the number of bums on seats.Based on 2 home games a month it costs more than my monthly Carnegie swimming pass and BT sport subscription combined.

Bums on seats is what count to the BOD Parrot.
Average Joe is their best customer and for most this`ll be the end of attending religiously.
After 38 years of watching Dunfermline season in, season out I`m perilously close to just listening out for results instead of watching. Too many other things taking importance bill wise for lots just now that come way, way before DAFC in the pecking order.

I think the bottom line is we need a winning team to get back up the leagues. That costs money. If they get it right and produce results then folk will find the cash. If not then priorities will fall into place.

"That 20 quid walk up price though, bloody hell."
I was recently at Inter v Sampdoria and it cost me £16 for the front row of the third tier.
I appreciate that - principally because of TV money - it`s not a like-for-like comparison, but it`s hard to argue that £20 for third tier Scottish football is an attractive price.
Would you think twice about sinking 4 pints in an evening, or actually over a fortnight. £20 right there.
I would rather watch a home match for £20 than sink 4 pints.

Most season ticket holders will be buying again. It`s called being a supporter.

For those who are considering not renewing:-
The capacity of many of the stadia we will be visiting will be drastically reduced from the championship stadia and there may well be ballots on allocation of tickets for those away games
What an uproar there will be when it’s season ticket holders first before those who choose to pay on a game by game basis
FC Edinburgh capacity = 500 (poss rising to 1000)
Kelty Hearts = capacity 2000, would imagine there will be a large proportion of those will be Kelty fans for their “local Derby”
