Got this email, £15 for a bacon roll and coffee :/ Thought these kind of Q&A were always free? Not sure how the season ticket discounts work, when they are not even on sale and its only 11 days away

£15 per ticket and during the working week isn’t going to get many people interested. These things are usually free and in the evening. Understand the logic of it being a fixture release thing, but £15 for a bacon roll and a cup of coffee, whilst most people will have to take time off work to attend, seems like a bit much.

Offering discount for season ticket holders, before giving anyone a chance to buy a season ticket, is a really strange move as well. Not sure it makes sense.

Hopefully there’s plans for fan engagement that doesn’t just feel like the club trying to rip off fans and/or alienate those who work full time.

To be fair, evenings aren`t suitable for everyone either.

We`re never had this type of event before, so fair play for trying something different.

The caveat being, it shouldn`t replace the free supporters` forum that they periodically have.

Is this April 1st? I thought the prices for the playoffs were bad but £15 for a Q&A is taking the biscuit.

"I thought the prices for the playoffs were bad but £15 for a Q&A is taking the biscuit."

The difference being, they`re not trying to sell 5,000+ tickets for this. You also get a bacon roll and a tea or coffee, so there is some tangible return for your money. Maybe £10 would have been better, but if they fill the room, they`ve got it right.

Also, we all have the option not to attend. It`s different when it`s an important play-off game and they`re trying to extort money from a loyal fan base, figuring we`ll all pay it in the end as we ultimately don`t want to miss going.

I don’t understand why they’re wanting to charge for something so basic as a Q&A. Does our new manager need an appearance fee?

How much money does the club want to screw the fans for.

It appears lessons have not been learned it will be interesting to see what the season ticket prices and costs of shirts etc are going to be!

I`m all for the club making money. If you want to go, pay your £15 and go. If it`s an issue don`t go.

Exactly. They`ve never had this before, so nobody is missing out if they don`t want to pay.

The manager may have the easiest Q&A of all time when there is nobody there to ask any questions.

The club is trying something that hasn`t been done before. If there`s a demand for it then their judgment will be shown to be correct and the club will earn some much-needed money; if not then nobody really loses out - the fixture list will be in the public domain and bacon butties are available elsewhere.

I suspect there will be plenty of free opportunities in future for supporters to put questions to the movers and shakers at the club - so hopefully the attendances and participation are higher than the disappointingly low numbers who bothered to attend the Supporters` Council meetings pre-Covid.

Biscuits will be an additional £3 per biscuit.
I guess this is a new thing they are trying but I was a bit gobsmacked when I got the email and seen the price. I feel at a time when they should be reaching out to build bridges with loyal fans this is a bit much. Seems very out of touch regarding this price in the current financial climate.
This should have been a free event with the Q+A recorded for those not in attendance. I mean, how much would it cost them to buy a load of Farmfoods Bacon and make a big vat of tea?

Make the event free, entice in with free butties and tea/coffee, and provide a donation box, suggested amounts being £5 or £10. Sorted.

The discount will feature as part of the marketing of how good a deal the season ticket is.

Over the course of the season you could save £5 on walk-up prices and £5 on a roll and a cup of tea.
