As a result of an application to the Arnold Clark Community Fund, Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters` Club (DADSC) will be awarded £2000, for which we are obviously very grateful.
This is the third significant contribution pledged to the DADSC fund in the last fortnight, following the £1000 from Benefact Group`s Movement for Good project and £1000 from advertising on DAFC.net.
These donations will help DADSC (and ultimately the fans of DAFC) enormously as they will go straight into the fund for improving access to the 1st floor function suites at East End Park for those with mobility problems due to age or disability. (The fund currently stands at £46,000 so with these new donations will pass £50,000 in the next few weeks.)
However, it remains important to remember that most of the money in the fund has come from the activities and generosity of Pars fans (along with their friends and families). Please keep supporting us - every little helps and is greatly appreciated.

That is excellent news me and my dad normally drink in either Charlie ds or legends before home games but last season we chose to drink in the city Center due to him struggling with the stairs up to the 1st floor and the stairs up the the toilets so to hear that we are edging closer to the target is great
Come on ye pars ⚽️

We`ve also just been given the fantastic news that DADSC will receive a very generous £350 from Inverkeithing Darts League`s football lotto game. This is on top of the £80 that Darts League members put into DADSC collection buckets at their recent Finals Day!
Unexpected generosity like this is amazing, especially at a time when we know many people are struggling financially.

Stories like this are important, as it tends to go under the radar that DAFC loses revenue by not having proper access to the function suites for those with mobility problems, whether or not they class themselves as disabled.
Many football fans are in the older age groups, so easier access will benefit a lot more than just wheelchair users.
