What a brilliant series of interviews so far and this latest one with George o`Boyle being a fantastic listen.
He talks about his time with the pars and the events of him leaving. Being only 14 when left I have hated him for 25 years but hearing his side of the story and the way he talks about his time at the club may see a small defrosting or my coldness to him.
If you haven`t heard them go check them out.

I was too young to understand all the animosity towards O`Boyle. I used to love getting autographs from players when I was kid and he was one of the players who actually took time to speak for a minute or so. For an opposition player to do that was very rare and it was something I have never forgotten, especially with all the hate towards him. Hearing his side of the story makes it sound like he was treated very badly by the club when negotiating a new deal. Shame as it sounds like St Johnstone got his best years. Very good interview though. I have enjoyed all of the podcasts so far.

Was Paul D`Mello club secretary at the time he left?
He kept referring to `the club secretary` but didn`t mention him by name.

That was a good listen. I can only presume Paul D`Mello had a tight budget to stick to when he was negotiating with George.

Seem to remember a game when Pars went down to nine men quite early on but still managed to get a point and George O`boyle tied their back four in knots on his own. Some player when he was on his game....

halbe - his first touch was sublime - I was pretty young when he was with us - but always loved the way he dropped off and killed the ball dead before laying off and spinning in behind - his partnership with Ross Jack was brilliant as well - the little flick ons and through balls as Jack took off were fantastic
