I see he is an assistant referee at Peterhead v Airdrie tomorrow. The other AR is... Douglas Ross!
Our ref tomorrow is Greg Aitken.

I can confirm that Sean really is a top bloke, having worked with him many times on the Pars School Engagement Programme. He said he was going to train as a ref when he retired.
I`m surprised he`s appearing as an AR. I thought they were two separate career paths. Is this not the case? I have a mate who`s run the line several times at EEP and has no intention of taking up the whistle.

Interested to know, can he referee games where he has played for one of the teams?
e.g. could he referee one of our games?

GG, I believe for someone in Sean’s position(cat3) it’s basically a development role, where they run the line some weeks at spfl and are in the middle for tier 5 or downwards games others. It’s at the next stage where the split is made, where he’ll either move to being a cat 2 with a focus on reffing(with the occasional assistant duties) or you move towards being a specialist assistant.
