I think we have to give credit where it’s due to JM as I’m sure he’ll get his share of criticism at points this season… changing the shape to 352 worked much better second half.
Shoe horning Ohara/Wighton/McDonald into wingers is far too unbalanced. Edwards and McDonald providing much needed width aiming for 3/4 players in the box looked a big threat.
If the situation is as it looks and we won’t be adding much more than 2/3 players this window then sticking with this formation and adding a CH to push Comrie one up, and two centre/wide midfielders I’d be happy with.

Would be tempted to go three at the back today.
Ben, Breen and Comrie. Edwards and McDonald as wing backs. Mid three of Alan Todd and ... yes.... Chalmers. Mcann and O’Hara up top

352 is an option but we do need at least one wide player to have that option.
433/451 needs binned no matter what though.
