 Crowds yesterday
Topic Originator: wee eck

Our attendance yesterday was reported as 3,639. Are we still including all ST sales in the figures? Falkirk topped this with 3,682 at their game with Montrose.

Other gates in League 1 were 1,421 at QOS v Clyde, 489 at Kelty v FCE and 427 at Peterhead v Airdrie. In the Championship only Dundee v PT exceeded Falkirk`s gate with 5,513.

How are Falkirk reporting theirs? All teams should really do it the same way

Have to say it was excellent having the young lads back in the North West yesterday. Great support and noise all the way through the game. Makes the game better with the noise they make

The North West looked very full yesterday, the lads and lassies who were standing were crammed in leaving some empty seats.

Agreed, shows what a good idea it was to price the under 18 season tickets so attractively.

So Falkirk had 50 odd more than us. Presume the travelling support will have been similar at both fixtures. It will be interesting to see how this continues throughout the season.

I guess it will depend on how well each team is doing. It would be interesting if we were going neck and neck for the title, as long as there`s a happy ending. 😃

Just saw Ryan Williamson’s goal for F***irk. Oooofft. Seems nobody wanted to track, tackle or stop him in his run, but put it away like a seasoned striker. We will need to watch he doesn’t get up a run of pace like that.
That would put a few more in their seats if they weren’t so bad.

Not really worried about him. He will be up against Josh Edwards, who doesn’t pull out of a tackle like Williamson does.

Surprised that our crowd tbh. Norrie was very sparsely populated. Looked more like a 3k crowd...

When we were kids, the Pars were almost always in the top flight, while Falkirk were either in Division 2 or struggling to avoid relegation. Not surprisingly, we had bigger crowds. After that, crowds have usually strong a similarly close correlation to league position.

If we were neck and neck, I reckon we would beat them by a nose. 🙂

Excellent crowds so far and really good seeing so many young fans celebrating the goal
