Wigton in for MacDonald? Fair enough I guess but if he`s going to be wide right I`d rather Mochrie was there. Only five subs with no central or holding midfielder is a bit of a worry.

Gee whizz, how do you scuff a penalty? The laddie is good with his head but surely he’s not our designated penalty taker, he hasn’t got much a shot on him at all.

Sounds like we’re well on top and hopefully 2nd goal kills them off.

Really strong performance although I don`t think the opposition was upto much. But you can only beat what`s in front of you.

Chalmers had a good game on another day could have a goal. Still like to see another few signings to beef up the squad.

Paul Allans deliveries were tremendous today. What a s**thole of a ground. I`ve been to stadiums in Israel better than that.

c'mon the pars

Well done to the team today .
Might be nit picking , but with 25 shots at goal and 16 corners we really vould do with putting a few more chances away .
Hopefully it won`t come to it , but goal difference could be as precious as a point later in the season .

I`m so keen now to watch team next week at home. Predict McCann will get at least one hat-trick this season.

Remember AJ taking Bakhtaoui off after he got a brace in quite a few games delaying his hat-trick possibilty by weeks, annoying.

Just a tad over dramatic but it wouldn`t be .net without someone giving drama, even after a decent win!

Great result today. Can`t ask for much more than 2 wins from 2 but next week will be against one of the leagues stronger teams so hopefully we can keep the run going. Gutted for McCann that he did not get his hat trick and with the amount of the chances we had it`s a shame we did not score more. Good to hear Chalmers seems to have played well again. Thought last week he was much better so hopefully he`s going from strength to strength. I`d imagine Hamilton will be back in the squad next week and Mochrie could well start on the wing.

It`s weird in a way - we`d all love to win 3-0 all the time, but it was such an uneven game that it was difficult to have any strong feelings at all. The second half is possibly the most comfortable I`ve ever seen a Pars team with a lead, to the point when I don`t think we even had a single corner to defend.

With such a poor view it`s difficult to say much about what happened. Good to see us go ahead from a corner, as Paul Allan had already put in a few from that side that looked threatening. The one annoying moment care right after the first goal when we completely switched off after the restart and allowed them in for a really good chance to equalise. Thankfully it missed, and from then on we were in no danger at all. Also nice for us to benefit from some fannying about at the back - Wighton did well to be alert and take the ball, leading to the penalty and sending off. What an awful penalty, thankfully in a game when it didn`t matter in the end. From going 2-0 up we just did what we needed to, and got through the game very comfortably indeed.

Not an exciting game in any way, but I`ll be very happy to see plenty more wins like that.

Pretty sure it was a free kick that led to the first goal, not a corner.
O’Hara really frustrates me, he’s a shadow of the player he was in his first season here and I expect so much more from him. Wighton is the same to a lesser extent, he’s got ability but we never seem to get enough out of him. Here’s hoping a run of games can bring out the best in both of them.

There both are going to be shadows of themselves as they are trying to play as wingers .not out and out strikers

Per capita Israel is one of the richest countries in the world, with three 30,000+ stadia. it`s probably fair to say all of them are better than the Sunday league looking venue of "FC Edinburgh"!

That was as comfortable a win as I can remember, even with 11 v 11 we were entirely dominant. Edinburgh had one (very good) chance straight after the 1st goal, otherwise did absolutely nothing.

I thought Wighton was better today, O`Hara as normal, lots of effort, good movement but doesn`t have much quality at all in possession - he drops out for Mochrie for me next week. Todorov did a good job of keeping the score down, you can see all three of them need a goal.

Chalmers was good today, as were Todd and Allan. Allan in particular I think is showing a lot of promise this season, as noted, his set pieces are consistently good as well as his defensive work and his willingness to get on the ball and spray passes around.

Defence all fine again apart from that one chance, Mehmet won`t have an easier afternoon. I still don`t get or like that, he was time wasting a little second half, why on earth do that in a game where we are totally dominant?

Although you could argue we weren’t up against much, all 3 in midfield played well yesterday. Watching the highlights, at worst, Chalmers got 2 assists as well. Another game where he’s done nothing wrong and contributed positively to the team.

Having said that, Mochrie looked a class above the players around him when he came on. Seems to like running at players and looks really good with the ball at his feet. Took his goal really well too, waiting for the keeper to commit, before slotting it past him. Noticed we went 3-5-2 again towards the end, with Mochrie in behind the 2 strikers. Wonder if McPake likes the look of that system?

3-5-2 makes some sense given the complete lack of wingers.

Did Comrie move to centre back with Todd going to wing-back?

Comrie was on the right of the back 3. MacDonald played wing back, it was when we brought him on that we changed formation to 3-5-2. Had been 4-3-3 up until that point.

We looked like we had more movement up front. Last season we were very static I thought. I think Chalmers is a good player for us as he can pass the ball. The more forward movement the better his game.
