Just watched a few highlights from yesterdays game in Edinburgh-what a miserable-looking place to play football?
It looked like a kickabout in an oasis!
Thank goodness we got the win and only have to go there one more time this season.
I feel sorry for their fans-that’s not a football stadium!

The ground was disgraceful if it rained yesterday where the pars fans were standing it would have ended up like a mud bath.
It`s going to terrible in the winter

What surprised me was how few seats there were for what is an expensive athletics facility, as there is no prospect of holding any major event there - that`s down to Edinburgh Council.
According to the FCE match programme (an excellent publication, BTW) they have planning permission for a stand on the Marionville Road side opposite the main building, but there`s a dispute with developers who want to build flats there.
I`ve no idea how their finances work with such a small fanbase, but they`ve managed to put together a decent team and have just recruited a Commercial Manager, so there must be money somewhere.

I`m pretty sure the dispute was manufactured by Edinburgh Council who sold the land in the first place. The original plan was to pay for the main centre by selling off pockets of land around it, including that pitch.

The Stadium is better than i expected but that is not exactly saying much when my expectations were so low but it is scandalous that people who are elderly or disabled have to walk so far the use the toilets

Yes we managed the full game.
Did not have a full game replay though.
We used different kit yesterday so basic stream, had some audio issues particularly with a new headset, for some reason it had some kind of echo

"it was their first game at home so was bound to be issues."
First league game perhaps but they`ve played Cowdenbeath and Arbroath there in the League Cup.

I agree the staff were excellent and friendly. No offence to Cowden and Arbroath but we probably took about 3 times as many fans. I was sitting therefore I had a decent view, my son was in the standing area and told me that his view was quite badly obstructed.
