DAFC Crowd Displays and Section North West have planned a colourful Tifo for the Falkirk game on the 17/9/22.
All our Tifo’s are self founded and we rely purely on the generous donation of supporters.
We ask that if you can spare any size donation it would be greatly appreciated! Even the smallest of donations can purchase things like tape and stationary.
Donations can be made via the following way:
GoFundMe page - https://www.gofundme.com/f/crowd-display-v-falkirk-17922
PayPal - Jason.canning@hotmail.co.uk
Bank transfer - DAFC Crowd Displays : Sort: 60-84-07 Account: 33577556
Club shop: Donations can be left in an envelope with the club shop title FAO DAFC Crowd Displays
Once again we will fill Section North West with noise and colour! It’s time to play your part ☠️
C'MON YE PARS

As the Secretary of DADSC I can say that we are delighted when anyone donates to our First Floor Access Fund (Pars fans have been incredibly generous) but we are absolutely NOT in competition with all the other great initiatives going on around DAFC.

That’s your opinion. Just because you’d rather donate to that cause, doesn’t mean everyone else should feel that way. Nothing wrong with people trying to generate funds for a crowd display. It’s not a competition and not a plan to take money away from DADSC. People can still donate to DADSC, or donate to both causes, if they wish.

Am I the only one who had to look up “Tifo” on Wiki? Hadn’t heard a flag/banner display referred to as that before!

"That’s your opinion."
Correct.
I realised it wouldn`t be long for some of the usual suspects to jump in with their reasoned responses.
Flags to wind up opposing supporters is hardly a "cause" IMO - opinions differ obviously.

Seems to me that you`ve jumped to a conclusion there. Is the Falkirk game a big one? Of course it is. Are the banners designed to wind up the opposing fans? I wouldn`t have thought so.
These ideas create a spectacle that add to the atmosphere. Which can, in turn, spur the team on. More power to the guys who give their time and probably their own money too.

It`s no like you to try and wind up other fans VEE.
Jason does really well at setting up these displays. And clearing up after the game So if anyone can chip in to help with the costs It`s worth it
Keep up the good work Jas
Let`s try making it till Christmas

Please, all take a step back.
This thread is about the flag display that the young fans in the NW Section take part in and enjoy. IMO it deserves supporting, but nobody is obliged to do so.
It is pointless and self-defeating to argue about which voluntary activity to benefit the football club is most deserving. DADSC wants no part in that argument.

To drag the excellent work done by the DADSC into this is a total embarrassment take a look at yourself.
Our club has excellent volunteers who look after all aspects of the club and should not be undermined by those who try and create divisions.
There is absolutely no defence for your post VEE

VEE, you have helped DADSC in the past and we are grateful - we hope you will do so again in the future.
But as the Secretary of DADSC I am embarrassed that DADSC has been brought into this thread and compared with another voluntary activity at the club. It was NOT helpful.
The thread and any discussion should only be about the excellent work that Jason & co do with the young fans who will be the lifeblood of DAFC for decades to come.

What a pile on! Another example of why this forum has gone to the dogs.
VEE is entitled to his opinion as are everyone but any sort of debate drops to insults and tripe from the usual suspects.
Both DADSC and the NW displays deserve backing and it’s everyone choice on how they support it.

Hardly this forums fault if VEE intentionally tries to stir things up.
He is doing that on purpose to give this forum a bad reputation.
Indeed people are allowed an opinion.

As DADSC and Jason know they benefit from the advertising revenue all the chat brings in 👏👏

The emergence of SNW has been one of the highlights of a desperately poor couple of years for the Pars. One of the smartest things the club has done since Cook arrived is endorse them and support them with the under 18 pricing. Attending football should be fun and feeling part of something and this is brilliant for the younger element of the support.
Equally, the disabled fundraising is clearly also about inclusion of another kind and Stanza in particular has done incredible work to keep ploughing on with this.
We should be a club where everyone is welcome. Don`t want to add to a perceived "pile on" here but we should really try hard to avoid any wee niggles of division in any way.

Just to add my tuppence worth, both sides of the argument are wrong. We would be much better donating to local foodbanks to help people cope with the rising cost of living crisis, instead of wasting it on some flags or helping folk get into the boozer

just to note that I have donated advertising revenue to the foodbank too
not sure though it`s to help with going to the boozer though.
