Anyone know who was given man of match yesterday?

I missed the announcement of MOM at end of the game (if indeed there was one) and was interested to see who the match day sponsors had chosen - but for me it was Josh Edwards with an honourable mention to Todorov for that peach of a headed goal

Thought Hamilton had his poorest game for us? Some very sloppy passes at times
Benedictus would get my vote

Agree that Hamilton had too many poor passes. But was pleased to see that when he did lose possession with sloopy passing he bust a gut to get back and help win the ball back.
MOM for me was between Breen, Bene or Edwards.

Hamilton hadn`t played for three weeks so maybe he was a wee bit rusty. Benedictus continues to impress with his consistency and leadership. He looks a better player than I remember him being at the Rovers where he could be a bit erratic. He has struck up a solid partnership with young Breen whose opportunities were limited last season due to injuries and Covid.

Chalmers then Benni, agree with Hamilton regarding his passing but his defensive duties were outstanding.

Chalmers had his best game that I’ve seen him play it.

It`s quite interesting that folk are willing to give Hamilton mom for working hard on Saturday even though he probably didn`t have his greatest game.
But if Chalmers performed like that he`d get dogs abuse.
For me Chalmers was mom and maybe having Hamilton in there doing the dirty work frees up Chalmers it`s maybe a decent combination.

Benedictus for me, he was a rock in the heart of the defence. Breen was also good apart from the mistake to let the Montrose boy in on goal. He had a number of long floated clearances just over the Montrose defence which were good.
Mehmet had as good a game as I`ve seen him so far. I thought Hamilton and Todd had quite a hard time against a stuffy midfield but both stuck to the job well. The pair of them have some engine to keep going the way they did in the heat. MacDonald did well when he came on topping it off with that cross for the goal.

That’s true wee eck, different tactics and playing teams a level lower are helping too.
When dorrans is back and if we bring crawford in it will be interesting how he fits everyone in.
Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

It`s not a question of `fitting everyone in`. We`re trying to build a squad of players who are all capable of starting.

Good to see Chalmers getting praise where it`s due. He`s my mom too. Special mention for Benedictus, who is a real leader on the pitch, Edwards who has some great marauding runs and Comrie but looked to me that all were pulling together and I can`t wait till the next game.

Sorry I should be more specific for folk like you.
On a thread specifically about debating our best players on Saturday, why do some people find it impossible to praise?

Shake hands and move on chaps. Crosspar unlike his name does not come over as a cross par but was giving praise to Benedictus higher up the thread. I`m feeling good, we`ve won three games in a row, onwards and upwards.

Thanks Paralex for your kind words. Unfortunately there are a few on here who, not only feel they have to comment on just about every single post, but can`t stop themselves from being rude and abusive.

Benedictus for me.
Up until he went off I thought Chalmers was our best midfield player. Hamilton finished very strongly though - maybe the change in shape helped him.
Shout out for both Todorov and MacDonald as well.
