The manager is hinting loudly that his squad is threadbare.
I have just counted 24 signed players.
When is enough?

I think he would be more than happy if he had a squad of 24 senior pro`s.

I`m glad you`ve counted them now, good work!
Ep. 6 of East End Tales is out now with AUSTIN McCANN! Reminisce with us about the big Fife derby in 2011, otherwise known as BMMMH day!

We have 17 first team players. 2 are long term injuries and another is currently playing through injury. We also have 6 kids that are 16/17 that the manager has said aren’t ready to be thrown into first team football for us. Not sure why you seem to be including them in the numbers. Looking at it, I think your 24 also includes Miller Fenton, who is currently out on loan so unable to play for us.

Still a CB and 2 wide men short. Hardly gurning. This squads not strong enough to win the league. And having a bunch of 16 year old laddies on the bench isn`t exactly ideal imo.
I dont think McPakes done, I just think our targets are looking at other offers. Robbie Crawford being one.

The manager has every right to complain if he feels his squad lacks the necessary depth to achieve the targets he`s been set and/or our fans expectation, which is immediate promotion. By going public with his frustration, he`s putting more pressure on the BoD to get some additional players in before the window closes.
I`m sure the OP is well aware of this but is deliberately stirring, to get a few bites. 🤔
Not your average Sunday League player.

The reality of Scottish Football.at our level is that a huge amount of business is done at the end of the window. With short term contracts widespread nowadays, there are a large number of players who are holding out for a finite amount of jobs in each league. There will be top level players who end up having to go to a championship sides and then championship players who miss out and have to come to a team like us.
Its tuff being a Par but we love it!
