I thought Thursday evenings were traditionally training nights for part-time teams?

🤣😃😂 It won`t be very funny for their fans, LA, but at least they`ll derive some pleasure and comfort from the result of their hated rivals.

To be fair, Celtic looked good and Rangers are in the game.

Rangers are getting a taste of what it`s like when the referee doesn`t drink in the same pub as the club chairman. Great work by McGregor though.

Rangers are definitely back……..they only got humped 3–0 instead of their more common 4-0 humpings…….they’ve got to be happy at that……and .they’ve now got to fancy their chances against Liverpool ……..maybe sneak a 0-2 defeat at ibrox ?

Yeah, but they were on top until the penalties and sending off...

Interesting to see what fine they get for singing GSTQ.

They sang Queen. It was part of a crowd display organised by the Union Bears. Not at all to my taste but good on them for coordinating it all.

Shame the Union Bears couldn`t organise their millions of fans to pay the original Rangers` debts and they may not have died.

Good to see a referee getting the big decisions right - and VAR for the encroachment call.

Van Bronchorst appeared to be mumping to the referee at the final whistle -can`t think why.

It`s a disgrace he wasn`t briefed beforehand, about the unwritten Ibrox rule, that penalties and red cards must never be given against the home team. If only Therangers could get Don Robertson every week. James Sands is worse than a man short at the back.

Sands is clearly a liability in defence, as is Morelos anywhere.

Some astonishing criticism of the referee in at least one of the usual suspect media this morning.

Which decision(s) rattled their cages ?

Both penalties were correct calls, as was the second yellow on Sands.

It was a denied goal scoring opportunity scenario - and (in my opinion) otherwise worthy of a caution as a crude challenge from behind.

VAR worked in Rangers favour on the retake, correctly.

The first penalty shouldn`t have been retaken.
Should only be a retake if a goal is scored from the kick.
It was saved and then rebound was put in. Since goal was not direct from penalty it should have been indirect free kick to Rangers.
For a referee at the top level to get that wrong is shocking.

Sands got away with it against Ross County a few weeks ago when he dragged the same boy down twice in a few minutes but only received 1 yellow. Karma is, as they say, a bitch.

Get it right fkn up them.

Aye, it would have been better for Sands to have been sent off v Ross Co. Rangers would probably have beaten them with 10 men, but it was too much of a handicap v Napoli.

Sands reminds me of a very young Lewis Martin. Caught out by a nippy opponent and then panicking......

"The first penalty shouldn`t have been retaken."

I reckon it was retaken because players from both teams encroached.

Which would mean the decision was correct.

11-0 in the last 3 games must be some kind of record. As Hamlet said, "something stinks in the state of Denmark". Could still come third in the group but looks like shaky peg may beckoning for GVB.

Sands is definitely a week link and I doubt if they have anyone decent to replace him. The step up to the Champions League is proving a step too far. Maybe GVB got lucky with earlier performances.

The last time Rangers scored was during the Elizabethan period.
