Highlights up at 11.00 am
James McPake at 1.00 pm
Kyle Benedictus up at 3.00 pm
from the ParsTV team.
p.s apologies for the issues with ParsTV yesterday. I think it may have impacted the output quality and stream dropped twice for a few seconds. I reduced the bandwidth at half time and I think it got better. I`ve a feeling a setting in our Vmix software got reset. busy testing today.

Congrats to the bugler for his rendition of `The Last Post`
.
Clyde`s first goal - the ref gave fouls for much less contact all over the pitch so I don`t know how that wasn`t a foul.
Clyde`s second goal - poor touch by Edwards on his weaker foot.
First penalty - blatant push.
Second penalty - defender should have faced up to the ball and kept his arms by his side. Ref had no option but to give a penalty.
Great move involving Mochrie, Wighton and Edwards in the first half deserved a goal.
Surprised Mehmet`s save at the end which probably saved us a point wasn`t shown.

First goal should never have stood, the forward no where near the ball and simply barged into the back of Edwards.

Not gonna lie Wee Eck, it wasn`t left out deliberately, just an oversight on my part. I`ve just went back and refreshed my memory about the chance you speak of and I somehow glossed over that while editing last night and somehow didn`t include it in the final cut. My apologies for the oversight and any inconvenience caused.

As much as edwards was to blame for the second goal, BENE also claimed the ball and moved out of position as was beat in the air.
We move on still top!

No problem, burty. It can`t be easy editing over 90 minutes of action down to 10 minutes of highlights whilst trying to maintain some sort of rhythm to the game. You guys do a great job which is much appreciated, certainly by me. They just prove how in the past, when there no highlights of games, we were often left with completely wrong recollections of how a match unfolded and key incidents happened.

100% this. Bene did a lot for us yesterday but that missed header was a shocker.
Fisher could have covered the goal line better for the first too. He had his worst game for us by some distance. I imagine Breen will come back in now.
As I said on the match thread yesterday, Allan was really good yesterday.

Thought it was a foul on Edwards for the first goal and was shouting for it at the time but having watched it again he has to be stronger there.

Without Hamilton in midfield we just get cut open far too easy. Don’t think chalmers or Todd are the answer in the middle of the park

Richie-Hosler and Hamilton look to be the answer in midfield.

Is KRH eligible to play on Tuesday night? He needs more game time to impress before we hail him as a hero.

The games Hamilton hasn’t started or been subbed it’s been pretty clear we’ve struggled in midfield. Thought that was quite clear tbh

Don`t think anyone is hailing KRH a hero. However, he looks to have all the attributes of Matty Todd with the bonus of being better on the ball.

The boy did ok but against a tiring team that was sitting back lets not get carried away.
Todd and the other midfielders have got us to the top of the league this season.

You said he looked like `the answer in midfield`, DA-go, based on 45 minutes. I`m just urging caution.
Hamilton is more suited to some games than others. The game last week at Falkirk was ideal for him. He missed the first two league games through suspension and we won both of them.
The much-maligned Chalmers actually leads our `assists` with four which is joint third in the league according to the SPFL website.

I said he and Hamilton looked to be the answer in midfield.
My bar for hero status is a bit higher than `looks to be a better footballer than Matty Todd`.
It was only 45 minutes but the basics of controlling a ball, finding a Pars man with a pass and ability to cover a lot of ground all seemed there to me.

Time will tell but I`d like to see more of him. The same applies to Mahon who had a disappointing half but shouldn`t be written off on the basis of that. It`s a shame neither can play on Tuesday.

Mahon is an imposter, who should never set foot on the pitch at East End ever again...

What a captain we have!
Kyle Benedictus showed real leadership when he took those penalties. Both were struck beautifully and how impressive it was to see him race to pick up the ball and take it back to the centre spot. The message to his team being that there is still work to do, so let`s get on with it.
I see Kyle as being in the mould of our most inspirational captains, guys like Roy Barry, Dave McNicoll and Norrie McCathie. He has been a tremendous signing.

Hamilton having a real stop start season for us which is a shame as expected him to be a real stand out at this level.
In the same way wighton has stepped up and helped keep it going in the last few weeks we really need the young lad from rangers to come in and be decent as some players go off the boil or pick up injuries etc.
Yeah the lad from Motherwell was pretty poor, really should have had a few more cameos before getting chucked in but feels like mcpake unsure about it.
Felt for McDonald on Saturday, he’s no right winger that for sure! Given the terrible quality of crosses into the box from the full backs maybe there’s an option to move todd back out to the role he did great at last season?
Todd has done well this season but offers so little going forward that with him and chalmers in there there just isn’t anything creative going to come from them when we have the bulk of possession.
Plus side we’re picking up points even when gifting goals, although the opposition offered very little. Couple of decent signings in January should hopefully see us over the line.
Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

I think the manager likes Todd in there cause he has a good engine and gives him legs but i agree he`s not very creative/good on the ball

It wasn`t an in-joke.
It was suggested, in this thread, that I`d over-reacted in my praise of KRH based on the 45 minutes on Saturday and he shouldn`t be hailed the saviour on that evidence.
The same poster then said it was the same for Mahon, who shouldn`t be written off purely based on his first-half performance.
It was meant to be an amusing, yet transparent, retort.

Only just got round to watching the highlights. How anyone can suggest that Edwards had to be stronger at the first goal is bizarre. His opponent clearly pushed him in the back with his forearm - it`s a foul all day long and incredible that the ref missed it. The two pens were correct awards, too.

I gave it a couple of days as well GG you`re absolutely right about the first goal.
As I thought after the game we created a good few chances in the first half. Yes a bad decision by the ref and a bad mistake by Josh meant we were 2 down but it could easily have 3 or 4-2 at HT.
Satisfied we battled back for a deserved point. Move on to Saturday now.

That was my view. Definitely looks to have been shoved. No way should it have been given.
Doesn`t excuse the poor performance though. I do think we suffer against the more defensive teams. We are pretty solid defensively but our attackers aren`t scoring as many as they could do. We`re creating opportunities but just not there in terms of scoring the actual goals. When you`re playing teams further down the league they`re naturally going to be more defensive meaning "easy" games are often a slog.

Re the first goal, the ref gave fouls outside the box for much less contact than that all afternoon. I did wonder why Edwards didn`t protest too much at the decision but maybe he`s aware that he`s only two bookings away from a suspension and thought he couldn`t risk another for dissent.

Perhaps Edwards is smart enough to know that the vast majority of referees are not going to reverse a decision because of player protests. In fact, if anything as you allude, they`re far more likely to be shown a yellow card to add insult to injury.

How can anyone tell in 45 mins if a player is any good?? Even if they scored a hat trick with his first 3 touches doesn’t mean he’s s*** hot, Mahon was a wee bit disappointing but I’m no going to write off someone over a 45 min appearance that’s just crazy, I will agree that krh looked decent and will be interesting to see him over a 5 or 6 game period same goes for Mahon he’s had his 45 minute disaster now let’s see what he does in his next 5 or 6 games
I thought josh was a wee bit soft got a nudge on the ball and fluffed his pass back, the attacker played a blinder with that one but it was a free kick all day long for me but that wasn’t the only bad decision the ref got wrong he was pretty brutal tbh
