Only Hampden in the Scottish part of the bid ,which may get 17m for an upgrade ,may pay for new paint job.
Republic of Ireland 2 stadia one of which
isnt a football stadium Croke park.
Northern Ireland ground to be used is new 35000 seat ground in Belfast which will be a GAA ground first .
Also the new Everton ground which is also not built yet.

Why wouldn`t Ibrox or Celtic Park be used? Celtic Park is a better stadium than Hampden.

The SFA probably don`t want to be seen to be favouring one over the other.

Laughable that they call this a UK plus Ireland bid, England clearly has enough stadia, airports, hotels etc. to do it alone so of they really want it to be a pan British Isles bid it should have had Murrayfield in there, and maybe one other from Wales or the island of Ireland. I don`t see how Casement is going to get done when the political will isn`t there (and there`s no political anything in Norn Iron at the moment), how Croke will work with the open terracing at one end not being allowed to be used, even the English spread isn`t very equitable... seems a nonsense bid but given its that or Türkiye it looks like its a done deal.

I thought Hampden was the only 5 star stadium in Scotland. You can`t get the players into Celtic Park or Ibrox without the players having to mix with the riff-raff.

England will never get a euro or world cup bid on their own as they have shown on countless occasions they can`t behave.
