 Peterheid v Pars

A lot of flooding at the moment up in that area.

I think they are the only other team to have a grass pitch, so hopefully not affected by the weather.

Forecast is for 50mph winds. If it goes ahead it’ll be a tough game.

A very early inspection tomorrow would be in order - to prevent fans making a long wasted journey.

Amber warning for wind and rain extended from 3pm until 9pm tonight here in NE . The A90 closed at Stracathro due to flooding and many roads in Aberdeenshire impassable due to surface water . Balmoor Stadium is exposed at the top of Peterhead so likely if on to be wild so wrap up warm .

Is there a pitch inspection planned. buses leaving at 09.30 as will fans in cars be leaving early. Road conditions look pretty bad for travelling also judging by some of the photos on line.

If there is a pitch inspection it will probably be about 10am. They will give the game every chance but the surrounding conditions are the much bigger threat to the game going ahead

Looks to be mainly dry in Peterhead from around midnight until kick off. Will all depend on drainage I reckon.

From what I have heard up here ,Peterhead has missed out on worst of rainfall so wind seems to be biggest factor as expecting high winds again tomorrow. Might be some follow on issues travelling up through Angus and south of Aberdeen so allow more time and take care folks

Came down from Inverurie this morning, roads were an absolute nightmare. Ended up taking about 3 and a half hours after numerous detours. Hopefully it’ll clear up a bit overnight

No news on a pitch inspection and no more rain forecast, so assume it will go ahead.

The Met Office website - always far more reliable than the BBC (football `possession` stats anyone?) - says dry between 3 and 5pm with 20% chance of rain and winds speeds between 26-28mph ... with possible gusts up to 39mph..

Thanks guys. It is late here in Australia, so I have to decide whether to set the alarm or not. Kick-off for me is 2 am. Okay, I will set the alarm... and if the game is off, I will grumble to you.. Haha!

;)
