Didn`t watch the game but a shock result surely ?

Mind you the report also goes into how poor Germany were in 2018

Had it on in the background, great game. Germany loads of the ball but not good enough at creating chances. Thought Rudiger was running the show until Japan equalised then they went on and deservedly won.

Ep. 4 of East End Tales is out now with Colin Miller, talking about Tannadice from 1996

Japanese substitutes were the difference in the end. Germany were poor & Japan fully deserved their greatest ever football result.

Not that much of a shock tbh. Schlotterbeck and Sule have been very poor for Dortmund this season. Didn`t have much faith in them defensively in the WC.

Japan are a good side and should now progress to the last 16 as there is zero chance Germany beat Spain

The Japanese players look as if they really enjoy their football. I see that some of their fans stayed behind after the game to pick up and bag the litter in their section of the ground. Apparently they also did that at the last world cup in Russia. Do you think it could catch on at EEP?

I think that`s Germany out. Spain should take 9 points from this group and I can`t see Japan losing to Costa Rica.

With just 3 games in each group teams are really up against it having lost the first. At least unlike the champions league goal difference counts before head to head record in the final group standings.
