Absorbing contest; interesting to see Spain with a few young bucks in attack whilst Germany are still mainly relying on that old warhorse Thomas Muller. Spain`s marking at the disallowed goal was almost as bad as Falkirk`s against us at Grangemouth.

A point is probably enough for Germany as i think they will easily beat Costa Rica and Spain are likely to beat Japan

Two good penalty box strikes! Germany lack a bit of creativity but showed some great defending and you can never write them off.

Germany managed to break up Spain`s passing rhythm, which was an achievement in itself. It cost them a few yellow cards but their commitment was first rate. I could see them bang a few goals past Costa Rica.

Costa Rica are awful and play anti football. hopefully Germany take quite a few off then and I think they will.
Japan’s passing was atrocious today

I agree Japan were poor but interestingly their passing accuracy was higher than both teams in tonight`s game by some way.I thought it was lack of intent that cost them much like Belgium.

I agree with that assessment, parathletic. Lack of intent. Japan, usually well organised and determined, were frustrating to watch. They likely have blown their chance to progress.
