My Dundee mate telling me they have only sold 500 tickets so far and are only opening one stand for home fans. How many are we likely to take?

Yes, it`s on BBC Alba. The loanees aren`t available so it will be an interesting team selection and bench.

Maybe time to have a look at the rest of the squad.

No. He’s still cup tied, because he’s played for Rangers in the competition. Same with Mochrie and Mahon. Fisher is the only loan player allowed to play for us in this competition - although he won’t be allowed to play against his parent club on Tuesday.

I would imagine it will be the strongest line up he can put out?
His time at Dundee didn’t end well

I`d imagine it would be, I`d be absolutely gutted if we lost any first team players through injuries to this farce of a tournament.

I can`t see any argument for playing Mehmet, Benedictus, Edwards or Wighton.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

If we don’t play Benedictus, who’s at CB? I do think that those on the bench on Saturday should be starting this one, but Benedictus is our only fit CB above the age of 16, if Breen is still struggling with illness.

Comrie played at left centre-back on Saturday and I think Hamilton has played in a back three in the past.

Dundee haven`t made it easy to get tickets with no online tickets. Just collection from club shop or post. Can`t rely on the post just now and club shop hours at East End not favourable to most. Be lucky if we take 200.

If everyone is fit, I`d go with:
Little
McDonald
Comrie
Breen
Hamilton
Fenton
Todd
Chalmers
Tod
Todorov
McCann
And O`Hara getting some game time off the bench. I don`t think we win with that side, but I am not sure that should be the priority.

Although, I guess we could play the best XI, run rings round their reserves and hope that Niall McGinn is so impressed that he asks to join us for the last 4 months of the season.

I think we will play the strongest teams possible, prob the same team that started Saturday. I think Dundee will play a few fringe players. I fully expect us to win this for that reason.

Yes that is all that seems to be available unfortunately. You think if the system Edinburgh have that a “bigger” club may have a simple system……

It`s not very clear, you have to click through a couple of pages to find it and even then it`s headed "Tickets for Home Supporters at East End Park"
And you're right, the drop-down menu only gives the "Collect at DAFC Shop" option, which is useless for me as I live closer to Dens than to EEP!
The TV option seems attractive!

You can buy online but you have to get a physical ticket from the club shop. There`s no option for qr code or anything where they just scan your phone.
Dundee are first club to send physical tickets since start of covid.

500 away fans for a midweek meaningless match, during the most depressing month of the year, during a cost of living crisis, at the peak of the worst time to be a UK citizen (post war) is nothing short of astonishing.
Best fans on the planet are ours. Simple as.
