was just thinking today how useful our loan players have been this season.
Who would you say have been our best/worst over the last few years ?

Derek Lyle hands down worst.
That’s not in the last 3/4 years though…
Also think Anthony McDonald, Dylan Duncan and Josh Coley might give him a run for his money… Malaury Martin and El Bakhtaoui have to be up there as some of the worst that actually played though in recent years. Also just about any of our loan players last year - Ambrose, Polworth, Graham, Kennedy, Kamwa. Particularly since we’re judging their loan spell, not the players’ actual ability.
In terms of best, I’d say Wighton, Thomas, Bruce Anderson, Aidan Keena. Probably have to say Wighton the best. He scored big goals that took us to promotion playoffs in the championship. Thomas’ loan spell was too short to make a significant impact, but his ability was there for all to see. Keena and Anderson both scored plenty goals.

Of the more recent ones I`d say Scott Banks was a disappointment. Where is he now? I thought Bruce Anderson and Euan Henderson had a wee bit class about them. Henderson was similar to Mochrie.

Who was it we had from Kilmarnock for the first half of the season before getting Thomas for the second half? He was decent. Greg Kiltie?

Viera took a shine to him initially made the bench for Crystal Palace 1st XI, latterly he’s been on loan at Bradford, 13 appearances 3 goals. Probably another Ross Graham in that he wasn’t able to show his best whilst at the Pars.

Polish keeper last season was decent. Donaldson and Ambrose were also not bad. In previous seasons, Dom Thomas and Jonny Afolabi both made a positive impact when loaned in January 2020.

Quite liked the Polish goalie last season, despite the fact we were rank rotten. Fraser Murray was decent as was Ewan Henderson.
El Bakhtaoui’s loan season was absolutely dreadful. After the season he had, the year at Dundee, the will he/won’t he throughout the summer to finally sign just before the league cup. Couple of goals up at Brechin then did the square route of b*gger all for the remainder of the season. Tbh the majority of the team in that season gives shivers. Because of how good we knew he could be, he’d be my most disappointing loan.
Afolabi wasn’t great, did thoroughly enjoy his goal against Utd which turned out to be the last we properly celebrated for some time.
Ambrose, Kamwa, Polworth all guff with us. Honestly so shocked to see Polworth playing in the Prem with Killie.

For me Beadling was arguably the best, really rated him. Jakub Stolarcyzk in goals was good as well, his performance at Killie away was immense.
Worst...the list is long!
C'mon Ye Pars!
