Surely if it has a safety certificate it should be available for sale ? Or at the very worst leave the last block in NE not sold or the away section nearest corner flag not sold like at Hearts and Motherwell. Throwing away cash cause we have been out the game for such a long time everyone forgotten how to manage a large crowd, which used to be normal.

Considering they are opening gates in the North East stand to allow the flow of people into the North West to be eased, it seems to be a tad silly to not open at least one section in the North East to allow anybody extra to grab a ticket that hasn’t done so already.

Another couple thousand fans and you can use that money on players.
(I do appreciate this is a rare event, but known about at Christmas and with a title challenge potentially a couple more occasions to fill the ground it should have been worked on).

Maybe it`s not an easy fix? Maybe involves a huge amount of groundwork that can only be done in the close season? Who knows!

We used the stand last season, I was sat in it during the Covid games, this is definitely due to a police interference as it can’t have lost its safety certificate since then.

With no home end tickets available surely opening the NE Would make sense. Could cause bother if people start buying what`s left of the away end on line , just a thought . Police Scotland

north east holds 1200.
even if there is an issue and it was known at Christmas, the north east wasnt going to be needed for the game going by the numbers back then , the south east wing wasnt needed either.
filling the ground, 4 home games left after tonight, no away team will need more than the south east wing so can be housed there which is pretty much normal and the cowden end can be opened for home fans IF needed.
will agree with others, it looks like a police/stewarding issue to me.

Seems like a Police thing to me as well. I guess none of us really know what the issue with NE is, but we know for a fact that there is no issue at all with the remaining section of the main stand nearest the away end as we`ve had away fans in there for most games this season, including our last game 3 days ago. For that not to be put on sale, when there`s a demand for it, is quite ridiculous. And I can`t see DAFC making that decision if no pressure was put on them, as it`s so obviously stupid. And if there has been interference about that section, it`s near certain there would be the same issue with the NE.
I actually feel quite sad about this, knowing that some people are going to miss out on seeing the game because of it.

Yes it was the Peterhead game, was parents and players from the academy. Absolutely freezing that day but didn`t see any issues.

It was used for both the Peterhead game by the academy and before by the Celtic B fans, I remember saying before that game that I bet it was the police decision that as we were only using the main stand that they would want the Celtic in the opposite side! Football fans really are treated so heavy handed.

Ridiculous decision re the SE and NE whatever the reasons. Particularly galling because we could easily have passed the 10,000 mark. The situation with the SE is concerning ... does that mean we can no longer fill our main stand if there are opposition fans in the Cowdenbeath end?
Wouldn`t surprise me if it`s the plods ... they`ve never been a friend to Fife football. Sorry, but so often it seems they just can`t be @rsed. And, if it`s, ahem ...`drainage`, I`m sure those fans without a ticket would be happy to get their feet a little wet if it meant they could be there.

going by the tweet of over 7000 home fans and how the numbers add up then those extra east wing seats, around 350, must be getting used whether its from hospitality, players families or whoever.

Pretty annoyed that as it stands people are going to miss out despite there being hundreds of empty seats.
The club should really explain it officially.

Yeah. Wonder if we’ve reserved those for academy players/families. Guess it would probably make sense. They’re usually in the main stand at home games, but we sold tickets for all other areas of the stand.

What drainage problem has appeared since the Celtic game. If it`s toilets then that`s a plumbing issue. If it`s flooding then surely it`s the same in NW?

Police over reaction.
There could have been a few sections of the NE open allowing a good few hundred fans in and still have enough room to allow space so Pars fans are not subject to the stench problems omitting from the East Stand

Especially when at FT tonight both sets of fans passed each other without any issues (as you would expect of grown individuals, 2 cheeks excluded]
