A cautious line-up tonight from James McPake, with a sturdy looking subs bench.

Whatever they are doing at the turnstiles isn`t working, the queue for the Norrie is all the way round the Aldi car park.

I`ve paid and logged on from deepest dark Engalnd but no picture. Should I have it by now? Seeing that you`ve got yours Oz, I`m a wee bit concerned - do I need to do something apart from wait on Pars TV website for it to appear?

I`ve got it now - just logged in again and presto!

Not sure what they are doing at the Main Stand side as it took me less than 7 minutes to get in the Norrie at the North turnstiles. I`d head that way if you`re not making progress.

Is it just me getting a bit fed up seeing things being chucked onto the pitch from the NW? What`s wrong with these people?

I see we are back to playing our normal crap first half !
Jings we cannot keep the ball and can hardly string two passes together we are always giving it away and putting ourselves under pressure
Breen is the worst culprit at present

We`ve not played well - giving away possession time after time, but they`ve made little of it. If we can pass a wee bit better we could get right on top o` them. We came closest to scoring when Mochrie hit the post - it deserved a goal, great shot from him.

We have absorbed a lot of pressure from Falkirk, who have dominated possession. The BBC show us as having 57% possession, which is bull dust.

We have had a couple of scary moments with Edwards getting creamed by Morrison on a few occasions and Breen giving the ball away far too often. A brilliant interception by Ritchie-Hosler saved a real goal opportunity for Falkirk. Morrison, Kennedy and Nesbitt are all troubling our defence.

Despite all this, Mochrie had the best chance of the half with a shot from distance hitting the post.

We need to show much more grit and determination in the second half. As things stand, it could go either way.

Agree except I`d put Chalmers in that group too. His ball control is excellent and he put in some decent crosses. So cool on the ball too. I really wanted him to score at the end.

Right pars very well done tonight, I was a bit worried about tonight but it`s a great 3 points so for goodness sake don`t spoil it by dropping points against Peterhead on Saturday as we don`t have a great record against teams down the bottom end of the league.. So c`mon yeah PARS and keep it going.

We definitely upped the tempo and pressed them a lot harder second half, falkirk couldn’t cope with it and completely crumbled. Probably part of the half time team talk to stop standing off them and get in their faces.

What a great night that was in the end. The first half was a real struggle, but I had a feeling that if we could get to half-time things might work out OK for us, and so it proved. Really good stuff in the second half to turn the game our way, and after we went ahead Falkirk were never really in it.

The first half went the way it did mainly bcause they pressed us so high, and did so pretty well as a team. But it was so intense, to the point where their right winger at one point sprinted back 20 yards at full pelt to stop a break midway in our half - it was good defensive cover, but they were never going to be able to maintain that level of intensity for the whole game. In truth, we didn`t deal with it very well, even allowing for them making it difficult for us, and just couldn`t get into the game. However, although they had good movement and plenty of quick, direct runs, they didn`t really threaten when they were on top. The soft early header straight at Mehmet and the one later on where it looked like they`d get a free shot but Hosler did really well to get back and cover - that was it.

We did well to defend a few corners early in the second half in a period when either side might have scored, but really it was us getting on top, and we were more threatening than Falkirk had been when they were the better side earlier in the game. the first goal looked well in to me and I looked quickly at the linesman to see him running away to give it. Really good finish for the second goal, just calmly placing it in the corner to finish off what was a good goal.

Matty Todd. Absolutely brilliant in the second half tonight. Like most of them, he had a struggle in the first half, but those bursting runs through the middle against a tiring team made such a difference. Hamilton had a good half as well, breaking things up on the edge of our box a number of times. And Chalmers did well too, especially the work he did to get over and help his full-back who was struggling for pace against a quick opponent. And well done also to our central defence - well enough organised to keep us in it when we were struggling, and solid right through to the end.

My throat will be scratchy by morning, but that`s OK. Just a great night to be a Pars fan, or even just a football fan generally.

Good summation as is often the case from socks. Thought at half time that Falkirk would have had to have been ahead by then to win the game since we usually do better in the second half and so it proved. Also a good point about their high pressing - when they had a lot of easy possession along their back four I worried that our front three were going to tire with all the shuttling back and forth but I needn`t have worried as they tired first due to the relentless geggenpressing and their much vaunted bench weren`t able to have the same impact ours did. On that, I wasn`t convinced O`Hara for Mochrie was the correct sub but fair play it caused their right back a few issues while Ritchie-Hosler was pushing up on the other side meaning they no longer had the option of the overlap which in the first half created their only real opening for Oliver. Ritchie-Hosler was also superb tracking back and that set the tone for the rest of the team. Fantastic second half of course and a well deserved 3 points.

An excellent 2nd half performance and a massive result. I must admit I wasn`t feeling confident after a first half which saw our opponents looking far more up for the game and us losing possession time and again due to their relentless pressing. I was holding on to the fact that they had failed to capitalise on their first half dominance.

Much credit should go to the management team for yet again tweaking things at half-time to allow the team to dominate and run out deserved winners. We now have a very healthy 8 pt gap, but let`s not think the job`s done. Keegan`s Newcastle blew a 12 pt lead in 95/96. Fortunately we`re not being chased by Man U. 😃

I thought we contained them in the first half and limited their opportunities. They pressed but from where I was sitting I felt they couldnt keep it up for the 90 minutes. They tired in the second half but overall we had the better chances to score. We look like a big strong side that will be needed in the championship.

A good overall acomplished team performance again against what is a good Falkirk side.

I thought after the first half that they stayed much better but didn`t really threaten took much and while we weren`t as fluid, we grew into the game and hit the post - expected more of the same in the second half with a mistake or bit of magic leading to a sneaky one nil for either team...

What I didn`t expect was for us to come out, boss the second half and effectively tear them a new one!

I don’t think I’d been as nervous on the day of a game since the Cup Final in 2007 – I just wanted to get the day over with – but by the time kick-off came round I was feeling much more relaxed.

There were issues with the tickets or turnstiles – my season ticket worked fine but lots of people in front of me seemed to have to go through a special check – maybe purchased tickets were only valid for a specific turnstile?

I think it was definitely four at the back, but whether it was a “Christmas tree" 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 probably depended on whether we had the ball or not.

The first half wasn’t great, but I wasn’t too bothered - maybe it was my sunny disposition and natural positivity, or maybe it was the realisation that a draw wouldn’t be a disaster. Or maybe it’s the way we seem to play – avoid losing, wait for the opposition to tire and then apply the pressure. Not quite Ali’s rope-a-dope in Zaire but a similar principle.

I didn’t see the goal – there were different guys sitting in front of me and they were off their feet faster than I was, but I assumed Hamilton had scored given he was running to the crowd, and that the tannoy had given it to Breen for the lols.

Again we had chances to kill it off, but couldn’t take them, until we got the break with the charged down pass back – KRH of all people won it in the air and a nice finish from Todd who must think he is going to score every time he gets the ball.

On that note it has taken time for KRH to settle, but I think he has finally grown into the shirt – whether that’s being given a run of games, the gain in experience, good coaching or simply hard work I don’t know. But what rhymes with Hosler?

As for Todd – what a difference a year makes – I’m struggling to think of a previous player who has come on so much.

He is indeed loving his time at the Pars. He told me during a school visit that the players are a great group and that was before he was getting a regular start. I don`t think he`d need much convincing to sign for us if Rangers let him go. I think they`ll keep him on but they might extend his loan if we`re promoted. He was at Man City for 10 years btw.
