Couldn`t tell from where I was in the main stand or tell if the ball was over the line from their highlights but I think the Falkirk players reaction is telling the protests looked somewhat half-hearted.

No commentary. What a shame. I was looking forward to hearing their despair...

What a comedy of errors by Falkirk that second goal was.

Wightons effort to put pressure on the goalkeeper and KRH out jumping their defender are both really pleasing.
Hope someone got a photo of the celebrations of that second goal from the main stand side as there was a moment where Todd was running towards the NW with his arms in the air and the `Todd` flag would be waving in the background.

No` the greatest highlights, but includes interview with Sean Mackie, chin on ground, poor lad. Brings to mind,"Your boys took a hell of a beating!"

From those highlights, looks like the game was the proverbial game of two halves.

Didn’t look like the whole ball was over the line. How the Lino saw it I’m not sure. A bit of guess work me thinks. Anyway Get in there!!!

Breen`s goal definitely wasn`t over the line. Footage from the camera behind the goal shows it pretty clearly.
Never mind :-)

Footage from behind the goal would never be conclusive. I still think that when it spins back off the Falkirk players foot that it was just over the line. The keeper then pulls it forward and down onto the line. Impossible to be sure though from the camera angles.

It looked over to me but you can`t see properly as both the keeper.and the Falkirk player obscure it at the critical point.

I thought it was over and I had a clear view of the ball the whole time. Was half laughing as a combo of the falling defender and the keeper papping himself put it in. He knew he`d screwed up so didn`t remotely protest the goal.

That`s what I wondered about the "clear" footage - you can`t see definitively what the keeper did because he obscures the ball from the camera.

Plenty say it was defo in and plenty say clearly not.
The best positioned person to decide was the keeper and by his lack of protest, I think the verdict can be satisfactory concluded.

I had very clear view of it from main stand side, level with penalty spot. Goalie slid backwards holding the ball. The full ball was carried about a foot over the line before his momentum stopped and he repositioned back across the line. From what I saw, it wasn’t even a question of; is it over? The camera shot from behind doesn’t show the ball whatsoever, so shows nothing

if it was a falkirk "goal" I can understand the discussion about it ;o))
but lets just drop it.
I would say the goalkeeper slid across his goal line otherwise it may not have been a goal.

The assistant referee was obviously in no doubt - it’s his opinion that matters.

If you try and freeze frame it as it spins off the defenders left foot and just before keeper gets a hand to it, then I think it was over…..just. But it is all water under the bridge now as others have said there are debatable decisions that go for you and against you in the course of a season.
We definitely deserved to win the game, so they can’t complain really. We hit the woodwork three times and we also hit the woodwork three times I think in the first game against them at EEP too.
They looked good against us in the first half of the first game , since then they have looked nothing special. It is still a two horse race though and they are not out of it yet. We need to make sure we still have that healthy eight point lead when we go through there in a few weeks time.

Was sitting in the front row just to the right of the goal. Goalie pulled the ball across the line when he grabbed it. Was definitely over the line which is why he never protested.

Falkirk highlights package is very good, I have watched quite a few of them this season but what a bunch of childish pr***s.
Personally I would have loved to have heard them moaning.
They never done that after the 0-1 game, I wonder why they did it this time ?
I am assuming it was not a technical issue.

I`m sure we went to Grangemouth the last time we were in the same league, won 2-0 and they put the score up on Twitter (and/or their highlights, I can`t remember) as Falkirk 0-2 Visitors. They`ve got a real complex.

saltonsgonagetu I remember from Benny Kelly from Sunday League well, and you nailed it. A tin of lager at HT wasn`t unusual! You could never argue against him - it was pointless you just walked away shaking yer heid and laughing. Read the Courier on Monday son.

Everyone assumes the assistant ref gave the goal but there`s a replay of it from the Cowden end which shows the referee was in a good position to see what happened himself.
