There is much to be said about James McPake, but let`s save the well-deserved plaudits for another day.
In the meantime, while acknowledging that it is still early days, it is notable that his current win percentage, at 67%, is the highest ever achieved by any permanent Pars manager.
Granted, the third-tier league status needs to be taken into account, but just for a bit of perspective, let`s look at the win percentages of his two most recent predecessors, John Hughes and Peter Grant... 24% and 17%.

I was frustrated at how we played in the 1st half.
After the early sub in the second half, I thought we dominated from thereon.
Did he plan for Falkirk to have their joy in the 1st half and for us to then step it up in the second half?

What was the corner comment in reference to? He said at the end of his post-match interview that “we also won on corners”, I assume it was something John Mcglynn said after the last game

Best manager we could have got at the time of his appointment and has grown in his time with us. Last night first half was poor, he recognised and addressed it at half time and we got the result. Having someone who is open to change is refreshing and he has changed things around several times this year, personally I am delighted to have him as our chief

I wasn’t his biggest fan when he was appointed but our league position doesn’t lie. Credit where credits due well done JM & DM

After going to a few supporters meeting and listening to pre and post match interviews I must say JM has really impressed me. I can remember being neither up or down with his appointment after the shambles we had been through. But if we win the league with the crop of players he deserves a generous backing to compete next year.
c'mon the pars

He has only been here for three quarters of a season but the turnaround he is responsible for is impressive. I hope he stays and finishes the job of establishing us in the premier league. He could go down as one of the most popular managers we have had.
Hope I haven`t jinxed him lol.

Massive credit to McPake so far. But I think its the entire coaching team that deserve praise.
For example, I think Alan Main and the new GK coach seem to have worked wonders with Mehmet. He’s playing very well, his decision making has improved a lot over the course of the season as well. When he ran out to get the ball from Burrell on Tuesday, that’s something he wasn’t doing earlier in the season and certainly wouldn’t have done last year.
MacKay seems to play a big role. He’s in charge of opposition analysis and has been credited with planning quite a few set plays that have worked well. You also see him regularly barking orders at players and discussing things with McPake on the touch line.
The fitness staff deserve credit. We’ve played with a lot of energy this season. Guys like Hamilton, Todd, Edwards, Comrie, MacDonald all seem fitter than ever. I also think both McCann and O’Hara have come back from their injuries looking like better players. Again, that’s credit to the fitness/medical team.
McPake is obviously the manager though. He’s the main reason we’ve got to this point and we are where we are. He seems to have instilled a great attitude/mentality within the squad. I’d imagine that’s something he looks for in new signings. He signed Benedictus and Hamilton. Instantly made them captain and vice. You can see why. They lead by example and are great assets to the squad.

Him asking mcglynn after the game on Tuesday if we won on corners cemented my opinion of the man. He is top class.

Sounds like a weegie does he? To me he just sounds like the guy next door or any other guy walking the streets about here. Comes from Bellshill, I think. Like most others, apart from the serial moaner behind me in the Norrie, I`m very much in favour of the transformation his tenure has brought and hope it long continues. Tuesday night was superb. Let`s keep it going.

Thanks for sharing, Raymie. The article suggests he`s happy at the Pars and unlikely to be tempted by another club anytime soon. It may happen at some point, but I feel he`ll be with us next season at least.

It`s interesting to hear that DC and the two German directors went to interview him at his house. They were obviously keen to get their man. He seems very happy where he is but we`ll just have to hope he doesn`t get an offer his `gut` tells him to accept.

A very good article, and very encouraging for Pars fans. Hopefully, James`s positive comments about the directors will be noted by those who still harbour doubts about the Germans` investment and their long-term commitment to our club...

Well played McPake & the club for getting him. He’s a winner & he’s transferred that mentality onto the players. SH on Tuesday night they just wanted it more than Falkirk.
Onwards & upwards - The future is looking good.
