There’s a clip going round on Twitter and it looks to me like the ball wasn’t fully over the line.

It does to me too, but the caption describes it as the goal that changed the game, which I don`t think is the case at all - we were looking very threatening before that and had already hit the post twice I believe.

We actually hit the woodwork 3 times. Mochrie, then McDonald and then Wighton.
C`mon

Didn`t look over to me either, but took it as in as so little protest from F*lkirk players.

I thought it was over tbh but had to check with the linesman before fully celebrating.
I think the angle on the highlights is misleading as the goalie gets his hand in the way and then his body.
Naked eye (from Main stand front row, in line with the penalty spot) it looked like it was (just) over before the keeper moved it back out. No idea how the linesman spotted it as was very quick and a lot of bodies, but for once it worked out well for us.
Maybe evens up the goal that was disallowed v Airdrie👏🏼👏🏼
COME ON YE PARS!

Are you sure Kilsyth? Thought MacDonald just skied it?

The linesman was perfectly placed, he would not have indicated a goal if in any doubt - confirmed by the reaction of the Falkirk players.

The clip on Twitter is the best evidence you’ll get, the ball wasn’t over the line.
Given it’s our own go-pro providing the footage it’s telling that you don’t see it in anything from our end.
It doesn’t matter though, the score was 2-0 not 1-0.

McDonald`s shot definitely hit the top of the bar. I was sitting right behind the goal.

Definitely hit the bar.
I wasn`t convinced it was over the line for the first, and I had a pretty decent view of it. My first instinct after that was to look at the linesman who happily was jogging back to the halfway line.

If it wasn`t over the line it`s payback for that `penalty` Hippolyte won with a dive over Murdoch at East End a few years back.

Bugger the view of the goal. Best bit was the young lad who lost his trainers after throwing them into the pitch at the end 🤣🤣

That`s why it`s vital to get goal line technology. To think that in the early 21st century we didn`t even have it in the worldcup finals. It doesn`t seem to me that any of the video replays can conclusively tell us if the ball is fully over the line or not. It is evident in one of the replays that most of the ball is over the line but there is a player standing in front of the camera view when Breen contacts the ball with his head so I don`t know how any of us can say that it did or didn`t fully cross the line. Because we don`t have the technology, we have to go with the decision of the officials and therefore if they reckon it`s a goal, it`s a goal, end of story.

Watch the highlights of the first goal. Watch Lewis McCann’s (he’s warming up beside the goal) reaction. He knew it was in.

I picked that up too
The Pars player warming up (NMA says McCann) was off celebrating, not just claiming for it.
