Seeing how we are 3/4 thru the season and being a bit of a stat man i thought id have a look at the loan players league game time
Name Starts Subs
Chris mochrie 20 6
Sam Fisher 12 2
Kane Ritchie-Hosler 6 5
Robbie Mahon 2 5
Ewan Otoo 1 1
Paul McGowan 0 3
All have brought a great attitude and all have contributed especially the first half of the season when we had injuries. Well done Mcpake for choosing wisely.

He probably earns about four times our average salary!

yeah, had heard we did enquire but Rangers players, even youth ones, are on relatively big money

If he was released by Rangers and we are promoted, the Pars might be able to narrow the salary gap a little, eck. I know for a fact he`s loving his time here, as did Sam Fisher, and both described the squad as "A great bunch of lads."
Makes me think they`d both be well disposed to signing for the Pars if they were free agents and terms were decent.

Kane and Mochrie seem to be miles above anyone else in the squad.
If this is anywhere near the truth then poor Matty does not deserve to be sitting that low on the list!

Fisher hasn’t agreed terms to stay at Dundee next season and is a free agent. Kane out of contract as well.

Matty Tod is an excellent player and I am hoping he will be part of our squad for next season. Did I read somewhere , Matty has a contract extension and that will include next season. ?

But a fee would still be due, as long as their current clubs offer them a deal of the same value as their current contract or better. Fisher playing regularly for Dundee and KRH rated highly at Rangers, so hard to imagine they won’t be offered deals there.

You sound confident. Are you his agent? 🤔

Had a funny feeling myself he would be back at us next season. Really seemed to be enjoying himself at the club. Would be delighted with that if it`s true.

Would be very happy if that happens. He looked an excellent talent in his spell here. A lot will depend on Dundee though and whether we can afford what they would want for him.

So `Sam Fisher will be Pars player next season` is an opinion rather than a fact?

It’s not fact until it’s announced by either party.
Let’s just say I’ll put a charity bet on it 😃

I am merely stating my opinion on what is a football forum.
No betrayal of anyone’s trust.
I am just confident that he will be here next season.

Put my Football Manager head on and been looking around transfermarkt to see who we could poach for the step up to Championship from this league. It of course will depend on who we can keep and who will go. But the names jumping out at me, who are out of contact, are the following:
John Robertson
Calum Gallagher
Ruari Paton
Alfredo Agyeman
If we keep all our strikers then there’s no point in singing more, but just in case. Not very many defenders have caught my eye in this league. Fontaine is good at Edinburgh, but he is nearly 40. The game v Falkirk proved how much you can put Coll Donaldson on toast with a little bit of pressure. A complete donkey.
Top of the league looking down on the F*lkirk!

Stanger at Alloa is being linked with Partick and Dundee, cant say i saw much if anything in the games against us.
wouldnt have Gallagher in that list, the others would be worth looking but the rest of the league overall there isnt much. league 2 its Charlie Reilly and Matty Yates that will be drawing the attention, the championship there are a few i wouldnt mind but most will be out of our reach.
it could be a dull summer if the club gets who has being linked or hinted at so far ie Fisher, Euan Murray, Agyeman, KRH. get all of them on top of contract renewals there might not be much more action, one area we need to get a more natural options is on the left wing though.

Only player I’d try sign out the loan bunch is KRH. Depending how significant the compensation fee would be. McGowan might sign on if he decides to keep playing and not retire.
There’s a few young players I’d hope the club are tracking, always liked the look of Lewis Gibson at QoS this season, the lad is only 17. Then one it really stands out to me is Matthew Yeats at Stenhousemuir, 20 years old and is sitting with 17 goals n 12 assists in 36 appearances for Stenny this season. Out of contract in May.

Would love to see us get Charlie Reilly from Albion Rovers but I`d imagine a lot of clubs will be after him. His goal record for a poor Albion team in the midfield is ridiculous. KRH and Fisher would be assets as well.
