Have to agree. I can`t see them taking enough points from that lot.
Probably settle for playoffs and not risk injuries for the ICT game.

Considering their financial position the focus will be getting to a cup final against one of the old firm with half the gate money…….play offs will be their focus now as the fixtures and small squad will hopefully cripple them

The sure fire way to play less games is for them to win the league. Their focus will be on that.
We need to concentrate on doing our own job.

Also means it is highly unlikely that we will win the league at TFS. They would need to lose 2 of their next 3 games or lose 1 and draw 1 to get to the required points gap.

They only need to draw one game - if we win all of ours, including the re-areanged Peterhead match.
Their backlog is largely irrelevant to the equation.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

Let’s just concentrate on ourselves?
One game at a time.

Their financial situation can`t be that bad letting 3 kids per adult in free for our next match.
They were guaranteed a full away stand so it doesn`t make sense to me.

I`m talking about the chance to win the league at Falkirk. If they draw one of the next three and we win the gap would be 10 pts. If we beat them it`d go to 13 but they would still have 5 games to go which is a possible 15, so a single draw wouldn`t be enough 👍

Not if we play Peterhead before the Falkirk game and win that. The gap, in your scenario, is then 13 points when we rock up to Grangemouth and would be 16 if we beat them.

Hopefully we can get the Peterhead game played and won before we play Falkirk.
Would be amazing to win the league by beating them on their own patch.

They had an operating loss of £1.2 million last year and were calculating on an operating loss of £400k this season. They`re definitely struggling with the finances and are relying on fans putting money in to cover the losses.

They`re going to make around £300,000 from their cup run (gate share for their games thus far, 2 x TV money so far, a quarter of the gate less expenses from both semifinals combined, 1 x TV money for the semi, merchandise etc). They could of course win the semi (shudder) and get another £100,000 or so on top of that. They`ve been very lucky with the draw but its virtually wiped out that shortfall.

If they fail to get promotion again they`ll still have to cut costs next season I`d imagine.
Ep. 8 of East End Tales is out now with CRAIG BREWSTER!

Whatever way the title works out I recon we will both be in the Championship next year. The bottom sides of that division will not want a playoff v us or Falkirk.

If we end up in the play offs it will mean we have hit a run of bad form.
Certainly not ideal to be going into them off form.

Fair point I`d forgotten about the income from some of those games.

That`s the same night they play Montrose and these were the two fixtures postponed on Saturday so that seems fair.

We may not fully be able to put them to bed at grangemouth...but if we beat them, then they`ll be all tucked in, story read and just waiting for the light to be go out!
