 Goals v Alloa on Twitter

McCann and Chalmers have become quite prolific at providing assists. Chalmers` ball to McGowan for the second goal was superb. I`m not sure if McGowan`s attempt was a cross or a shot but it was right on the money.

Yes, 12 passes without an Alloa interception before their goalie parries McCann`s shot into the path of Wighton, who slots home. This perfectly illustrates the patient penetrating style the Pars have adopted under James McPake.

A year ago, under John Hughes, the players would pass the ball around in their half while the opposition happily watched them do so.

The second goal demonstrates the degree to which Joe Chalmers has developed his game this season. I saw someone on here describe him as Beckenbauer-like, and indeed, Franz would have been proud of the quality and accuracy of that pass to McGowan.
