 QP v PT second leg

Superb finish from Graham after QP passed up a great opportunity to open the scoring.

Surely the score caption should include the aggregate score?

I see East Fife are now level at 1-1 on aggregate with Clyde in the League 1 play-off.

That guy Eze looked some size, had to Google it, and he`s 6ft 6inch with 13 caps for Nigeria. Looked a terrible footballer though, surprised to see he was an internationalist

Allegedly disruptive and then signed a pre-agreement with the club we were due to the play in the play-offs effectively ruling him out of those games, which we lost resulting in relegation.

These allegations may not be a million miles wide of the mark and DT could be a nippy sweet but he was not the central figure in our relegation......

With the possible exception of Simon Murray he has been Queen’s best player all season and was their only threat last night. The decision to let him go in January seems all the more strange with every passing day - Conor Shields as his replacement is useless - if they’d kept him they’d probably have won the league before us.
With their defence so weak it also seems strange that Stephen Eze didn’t make an appearance until half time last night in any of the recent games - he was a regular starter in the early part of the season when they were doing so well and won a number of man of the match awards.
Very surprised that Louis Longridge has come back into the team in the last 2 games - looks as powderpuff as always.

Maybe they let Simon Murray go to avoid the possibility that he could sign a PCA with Ross County who were potential opponents in the Premiership play-offs. They would have the same dilemma we were faced with last season after Dom Thomas signed a PCA with them. Presumably they got some compensation when he moved in the transfer window.

Agree with da_no_1. We would all admit we were crap last season but there was a very foul smell around the timing of the Thomas signing.

That Eze is a man mountain and his face looks as if it has been hewn out of a cliff. He managed to clatter a couple of Thistle players in the 45 minutes he was on and he was a danger at corner kicks. It reminded me a bit of Bobo Balde`s style of play. Long before a metre and a half was known as the measure a motorist should give when passing a cyclist, it was the clear space Stevie Crawford gave Bobo in games - and who could blame him. Most forwards were the same except wee James Grady who used to get stuck into him. Mind you James would run through a brick wall.
Back to QP they seem to have signed a few players from markets outside Scotland, a bit like Ross County, maybe it`s the agents their managers use. No sign of that from us yet.

a lot will come down to recruitment and who we bring in, hopefully we can find a few different faces too.

Agree GSJ93, sometimes the quality on the ball is not that much better in the championship but physically it’s a much more demanding league against full time fitter, faster and generally bigger more aggressive physical players.

Standing up to this was one of our major downfalls in recent years. For me it’s key we get at least one decent midfielder in, chalmers has had a great season but lacks in physciality and aggressiveness, hamilton has that in spades but shame he’s not a foot taller!

Will certainly be interesting to see how we match up to the likes of Morton etc next year.

Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

If you play better football than your opponents and the whole team works hard as a unit, you don`t need to be overly physical or aggressive to be successful.
