I don`t see much wrong in that. The laws of the land apply in football grounds as well.
It's bloody tough being a legend

Depends what was shouted. If it was racist or homophobic for example, it absolutely will be a hate crime.
It shouldn’t be too difficult for them to identify culprits and bring charges should they want to, there won’t be that many suspects…

Good statement. The only Hamilton fans who will be perturbed by this will be those who feel they can dish out what they like but reserve the right to wet their nappies when they get a bit back.
The occasional relegation battle goes with the territory of being a fan of a club like Hamilton ( or Dunfermline and many others). That`s the way it is.

Chick Young was reporting on the game and had spoken of the outbursts nearby.
The same fans then returned to their seats after Hamilton clawed back to win the game.

Good or bad, it’s a risky statement to issue at this time. I think the last thing they need going into their playoff with Airdrie is any confrontation with their fans, regardless of rights or wrongs. It could have waited until after the Airdrie games.

What was shouted at John Rankin was atrocious and IF those kinds of comments were also directed to the board then that statement isn`t strong enough.
If I was John Rankin I`d have quit there and then. Abuse about footballing/managerial ability is one thing, but thats not what happened in this situation.

What was shouted at Rankin? Heard an interview with him earlier and he wasn`t happy with it at all.

It was reported in the print edition of the Sunday Post.
Unsure if it`s online.
Not sure whether it can/should be reported on here.

I clocked the locals getting more than a little restless here on the Alloa highlights the other night - scroll to 5:14 (ish) just after the Wasps go 3 up on aggregate.
Doesn`t take much imagination to work out what sort of abuse was being hurled about - sadly we`ve had similar directed at Ross McArthur.

The are some fools that call themselves football fans who also think that just because there in a football capacity everyone is fair game. When you call them on it you get the "I pay my money patter".
