 EPL Relegation Race

Leicester picked up a very important and unlikely point away today. What that means is a Toffees’ draw v Bournemouth is not good enough because of the Foxes’ GD if they win at home v W Ham. One point for Everton is probably all they needed to stay ahead of Leeds, but now Everton needs a win.

Could be interesting watching come Sunday.

You would think Everton will win comfortably at home to Bournemouth, who might be thinking about their holidays, Mac. Sean Dyche will have his team well up for it and an early goal will surely calm any nerves, but perhaps not if the visitors score it. 😃

As for Leicester, they really needed to go for it last night but spent almost the entire game in their own half. Newcastle totally dominated possession and had countless shots on goal, whereas Leicester had their first effort just a few mins before the end. Had they won any win v West Ham would have relegated Everton, unless they beat Bournemouth by 8 or 9 goals.

That might just have provoked a stewards enquiry. 🙂

Not your average Sunday League player.

It`s a shame they couldn`t just relegate Jordan Pickford on his own. Walloper

The problem Leicester had last night was if they went for the win like the previous two games where they conceded 10, Newcastle who were after a point to confirm top 4 would of leathered the.

Indeed - the three contenders for the drop can`t buy a win - I wouldn`t bet a Falkirk fan`s cash on any single one of them.

There will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth whoever goes down - but especially at Goodison Park - they`ve been a fixture in the top flight for almost 70 years.

Everton at home to Bournemouth who are safe. Can`t see that being anything other than a home win sadly.

I’m pretty sure I predicted on here that the Cherries were toast after sacking Scott Parker early in the season, but Gary O’Neill did a great job with them. I’m not so sure they’re going to roll over at Goodison after what they have accomplished. Also, Sean Dyche has done well with getting Everton to score a few goals, but it still doesn’t happen easily.

If the game at Goodison stays scoreless or even and the Foxes nip ahead, it could get rather nervy.
