Saturday`s game v QP at Hampden not Lesser Hampden. Correct me if I`m wrong. Is there a PATG option? Wonder when we last played at Hampden. Probably cup final v Celtic.

From Queen`s Park....
We would encourage all supporters to purchase a ticket online. There are very few places where we can sell tickets at the National stadium. The red and yellow car parks will be available for cars. Coaches are requested to enter by Cathcart Road and park in the Blue car park (traditional coach parking area). These are on a first come, first served basis.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but Hampden are running the stadium tour/museum at 10:00 on Saturday, I`m taking the wee boy (never been to Hampden) through and making a day of it.

"Are PARS TV screaming this match does anyone know?"
Jordan? Are you up for a SCREAM???
:)
I look forward to this game, as I believe it will be a genuine test of where we are in the Championship. I think we will win this.
I can`t tell you how much I look forward to Saturdays... well, it is very early on Sunday morning.
Having lived 12,000 miles from EEP for 30 years, words cannot adequately describe how much it means to have this palpable connection with the team I first saw as a nine-year-old in 1965.
It is a lifetime away since that first game, and sadly, most of the players I saw that day are now dead, but the emotion that comes from supporting a team pretty much all your life is impossible to hide. And I would bet that few of you would contradict my comments, for supporting a team is complicated to explain to someone who doesn`t do so.
Six years ago this week, I had a hugely traumatic experience that could be directly related to my supporting the Pars.
I got up in the middle of the night to watch the Pars play a match against Morton at Cappielow. In Scotland, it was 9th September 2017; for me, it was the 10th. We took a 2-0 lead, and at the death, Morton came back to win 3-2. I went to bed, highly disturbed by what I had seen.
The following morning, I woke up and realised I had had a stroke during the night. I could not move half of my body.
Fortunately, after a couple of days in the hospital, I recovered most of my physical acuity, but tests revealed a brain aneurysm and an urgent need to slow down.
The long and the short of it was that I ended up having to take early retirement a month later, and I have had considerable restrictions on my life ever since. It was a huge blow emotionally and financially. I certainly don`t have the life I used to live, and supporting the Pars is one of the few things I have that has lasted throughout my life.
Why am I telling you this when I haven`t said anything about my illness for six years?
It has played on my mind that during the Dundee United game, I snapped at another poster who was probably innocently remarking that we should not have been in that competition. Still, how he had put it suggested that he wanted the Pars to lose.
In almost 60 years of supporting the Pars, I have never encountered a Pars fan who felt that way.
I don`t want to have another go at that person. I want you all to understand that this was NOT an act of bullying. On the contrary, it was merely a request to allow some space for those of us who don`t have a great deal left in life to enjoy much beyond our weekly time on dotnet during a Pars game.

I remember that game well at Morton Ozpar. Beautiful sunny day and the Pars were flying but managed to make a mess of it. Just another game for me but obviously a day with a huge impact on yourself. Wishing you good wishes.
Mon the Pars!!!!!!!!!!!

Took our Shar-pei, Arnie, to the vet that day to be put to sleep. Just as we pulled into the vet on Halbeath Rd, Morton scored the winner.
What an utterly p*sh Saturday night that was.

The reason why I would rather pay at the gate is because when you pay online you have to divulge half of your life`s history before you eventually come out on the other side with a ticket.
I would have to accept part of the blame with you Ozpar for starting the ball rolling (if indeed any blame is necessary) because how anyone can say he has been bullied on a football forum by being challenged for saying he hopes his team will lose, beats me.
Anyway on a brighter note please have some sympathy for my school pal from Cowdenbeath who has been in Australia for at least 30 years and still avidly supports Cowdenbeath.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Oz. I think it`s good that you`ve gone public as other posters will perhaps now cut you a bit of slack when you get a bit cantankerous, although that may have more to do with your advancing years than your life changing experience. 😉
I`m sure Paralex - good Christian that he is - will forgive you for hijacking his thread. 😀

Sorry to hear about your health Oz. I thought about you last weekend as it was the Magnetic Island Race week, which I know you have come up here for that event in the past.
I am just a bit older than you Oz and haven`t lived in Dunfermline since 1971, but still follow the Pars avidly. I am one of the many lucky Pars fans who was lucky enough to see us win the Scottish Cups twice (should have been 3 in 1965), many European games and challenges for the League title. I don`t watch many games vis live stream as I am usually in bed! However I do get up early to check the results. The highlights that are provided by Brian`s team are fantastic, and I love going to East End ark when I come home from Australia.
Supporting the Pars, it`s in my blood.
Take care Oz and hopefully you will be supporting the Pars in the early morning for a long time to come.

Hoping we have a good number of Pars supporters for a lovely day out in the fair city of Glasgow. It seems that only part of the stadium will be used. Going from my eticket, part of the Main (South) stand will be used to accommodate the visiting support.
I can`t remember being in the national stadium for a domestic league game before. I have been there for many internationals, cup semi finals and finals and even a few Junior cup finals but not a league game. So I`ll be looking forward to a great performance and victory from our guys on Saturday.
The playing surface should be more suitable to us than Queens Park because the majority of their games in recent times has been on the astro, while ours has been on grass.

I have known Oz for many years through this forum and had the pleasure of meeting up with him some years ago .
One of the most genuine individuals I have had the pleasure to meet.
He is a pars man through and through and dedicated to following the Pars whatever it takes ,like many of us on this forum .
I was also sad to hear about Oz health but knowing the man he is ,he shall be following the Pars for many more years to come .

I`m lucky enough that my cars both meet the criteria but it must be a pain for visiting when you are not aware of the schemes or criteria.
One great benefit of Queens playing at Hampden is you have access to the car parks at the ground so you don`t need to worry about street parking etc that you would normally need for a Scotland or big cup game.

Thank you all for your kind words. I appreciate them. Although my brain may not be as sharp as it once was, I am okay and live a fulfilling life alongside my family and friends in this beautiful corner of the world.
As I said in my previous message, in recent years, my world has significantly shrunk in size. It`s doubtful I`ll ever set foot in Scotland again, but what remains there holds immense importance in my heart, and DAFC plays a central role.
That`s why I hold dear Saturday nights spent watching the Pars matches and engaging in discussions on the match thread. While I`d give anything to be in the stands with you all, this virtual connection is the closest I can get now, and I`m genuinely grateful for the opportunity it provides.
These days, the few hours around game time are usually the highlight of my week, and I suspect it holds the same significance for many others here as well. After all, that`s the essence of a fans` forum.
So, if you cannot be at Hampden today and happen to be on dotnet on a Saturday afternoon, please join the game day experience in the match thread. In the end, supporting a team is not solely about winning or losing; it`s about being part of a shared journey.
Come on ye Pars!

I very rarely contribute to threads on here but am moved to wish you all the best Oz. Like yourself I watched my first game at East End in 1965 and was hooked on The Pars from that moment and have followed them ever since both when living in England and abroad for 25 years when getting news on results was the best you could get by searching newspapers or phoning home.
We are very lucky to have technology now that allows discourse on games and Pars updates on players, injuries, transfers etc. It is difficult sometimes seeing some of the comments but things in writing always seem worse compared to face to face discussions when facial expressions and tone give you a better understanding of what is being said and what it means.
I thoroughly enjoy the input from Oz and many others on the thread and know all of us are passionate about the club and everything that surrounds it so please remember this when posting as we all have the same dreams and hopes and there are enough detractors out there who do not love this club, some of whom I believe even post on here to rile our real supporters.
I still manage to get to most home games and the odd away game and the passion of our supporters always gives me a lift so keep getting behind this wonderful club, enjoy the match day experience whether there in person, on Pars TV or in this thread and remember we are a family and respect each other`s views.
I wish you all the best of health and many more years supporting this club

That`s surprising Row zz. There were plenty seats in Row Z. But seriously, there were ample stewards to point you in the right direction. I travelled there on my bike and one kind steward told me where to hitch it up. I don`t think the tickets allocated a seat.

It was unallocated seating, with plenty of empty seats. I don’t know what direction/guidance you were expecting?
I didn’t have any issues getting in, but I got there around 2:30. After reading the information online regarding entry to the stadium, was easy to find the turnstiles we were to go through - also could have just followed the other away fans.
Hopefully you get a refund sorted for the extra ticket they charged you for.

I don’t get to many games now, having lived in Middle East for 27 out of the last 30 years…….my first game was maybe 1977 (not really our best days)…….but then I followed the Leishman years home and away…….brilliant times.
Getting back to my occasional games since, I still love the buzz of the crowd and the banter at the game, then the stream of people leaving the ground and walking back down a crowded halbeath road (particularly after a win)…….sharing the same satisfaction and delight as everyone else coming out the ground………I miss that as I’m certain ozpar does too……I shared it with my dad when he took me and I shared it with my daughters when I took them…….all the best Ozpar.
