 Carpet burns at EEP
Topic Originator: Johanisk

This popped up on my X feed today. Fond memories of the early 2000s, some cracking pictures here (especially the third one). Anyone know what he`s up to now and did the carpet burns completely heal?

If I remember correctly he`s a Hibs supporter? That was one painful carpet burn that once the alcohol wears off must have been unpleasant.

can see his RFC pennant on his chain round his neck. Few years as a "celebrity" locally but very much embarressed by the event which was very heavily alcohol enduced.

I still have a bit of that turf at my house. I use it as an outside door mat and I honestly cant believe they thought it was safe to play professional football on.

Wrong way round Hay Fever

Dunfermline Chairman Yorkston, caused a row when he stated that Bobo Balde caused more injuries to players than the plastic pitch at East End Park.

Which was said tongue in cheek. Thought it was refreshing to hear a cheeky comment. Of course, blown out of proportion.

Ep.12 of East End Tales is out now- Roy Barry!

And, in fairness, Yorkston made that comment shortly after a horrible tackle by Balde shattered the leg of a 17 year old Leicester player in a preseason friendly...I don`t recall hearing of said 17 year old again...

I stand corrected - he actually had a reasonable career

James Wesolowski was his name
