I just don’t see how he can be so sure based on the fact we’ve not won in 8 and conceded 8 in our last two. We badly need experience in defence midfield and up front. I’ve heard Chris Kane is signing but we badly need more than one.

At the moment I don`t see us even making the relegation playoffs, looks like we will be bottom of the league. No width, no organisation, not a lot of physicality. I mean by the time we might get some of the injuries back may be possibly too late, you can`t just turn on confidence because a few injured players come back into the team.

Mcpake seems incapable of changing a formation that isn`t working. He just changes the individuals, and today his individual changes made things worse.
8 goals lost in 2 games and no goals scored.
Put 3 up , we never pressed them. They were never going to make a mistake because of that but we were pressed everywhere by a poor team.
The only thing they did was move forward and eventually got a goal, probably inevitable because they had space all over the place around our box.

He took off a striker and kept a back 5 when we were 2-0 down! That shows his tactical awareness!

We are working hard to bring players in, do me a favour. He’s clearly trying to buy time with that statement. What’s even worrying for me is, I don’t think he is going anywhere soon. It seems the board are happy to run this club, the cheapest way possible. It’s only going to get worse. He will set up the team the same way next week.
