From what I seen of him, he could easily play centre half or right side in a three ?

Not for me, I thought Welch-Hayes was one of the positives from last night and can play as a right back or central in a back three, could also fill in as a more defensive right wing back. We normally play with wingbacks and O`Halloran can also play there, and KRH may be back reasonably soon? Benjamin was on the bench last night and already covers those positions.

I don`t remember the timelines on Bene, Fisher and Breen but with even one of those back, I think we`d be ok for centre halves as well.

Yes. If Raith release him, he can’t sign for another team until the summer. Only option for now would be a loan.

Certainly changed physically since he was originally here, took a lot of stick from North Stand when he played, even more so as a Raith player.
He might not be keen, plus the Livingston loanee looks good.

I’d have him as a right sided centre back so we can push Hamilton back into the midfield. I wouldn’t be surprised if he signs for Morton though, as I believe his dad is the assistant there?

They`ve not kept it that internal as it has been doing the rounds elsewhere. Apparently, Murray & Co has a list of players, projected on to a wall, showing the ones who were getting let go in the summer and the fairly blunt reasons why.

Unfortunately, they forgot to turn it off when the squad walked in.

Goodness me NO, anybody who`s watched him would see he`s slow, doesn`t put in a tackle. Thinks he`s a better player than he actually is. Ian Murray has finally realised this and punted him.

Pretty much what I heard, too, except that only one player saw it, but he took a pic and sent it to his team mates.. It might be just a scurrilous rumour, of course. The text I saw said Millen was going to Hamilton and wouldn`t play for Raith again.

He can tackle, he can header and he can defend. So what you posted is absolute nonsense.

I think some folk are of the opinion that Millen is at the same level now as he was when he played for the Pars.

The evidence would suggest he`s improved since then..... He was young and raw then. He`s now more experienced and has had the benefit of more coaching from different managers.

You would think based on the ethos of the club and the work McPake does on other players (attitude, good fit for the club, etc) that this will be a no-go.
However, I would like to see if we add an experienced defender who can give us some stability and leadership, thus allowing Hamilton to move back into midfield permanently.

Let`s imagine that the rumour doing the rounds has some factual validity, based on "no smoke without fire" reasoning. So if Millen was the player who saw the list of players who did not feature in the club`s plans for next season and informed these said players..... It`s not difficult to imagine that management would be none too happy at this turn of events.

It`s a moot point as to whether Rovers don`t want him anymore or whether Millen himself has decided he no longer wants to play for them. The relationship is seemingly broken beyond repair, and I`m not at all sure we can conclude that Millen has a poor attitude or is some kind of troublemaker.

He was sent off after the final whistle when they lost to Airdrie recently, I dunno i this has stemmed from there.

He was pretty raw when he was with us, I was amazed he went on to play for some decent teams. But just as recently as last season my Rovers-supporting pal was telling me about this donkey they signed called Millen... Seems to have been ok this year but there are more negative signs than positive for me

It`s funny how he`s remembered as a pars player, folk now saying he could get forward and put a ball in but couldn`t defend, but at the time I remember the consensus was more that he was an ok defender but couldn`t get up the wing, while Ryan Williamson was the polar opposite

Probably could have made a great right back by combining the two :)

Anyway, by all accounts he seems like an erse, no thanks

Worth remembering that when we took (at the time) a gamble on n/Nisbet offering him a last chance at full time football type deal. He had been binned at pretty much every club he had been at due to his attitude.

Sometimes reality hits home and the players talent comes through and we made good money off that deal. Although it`s probably the only deal we made money on since bamba but that`s for another thread.
