Just finished listening to this weeks episode.
Steven Mill has said on the podcast that he believes there was a board meeting arranged on Monday and there will be an announcement from the club this week.
He added that James McPake would still be the Dunfermline manager. I took from it that JMcP job wasn’t going to be anything to do with the announcement to be honest just with the way he was talking about it.
Of course with all the speculation here, it could be just about anything but I’m hoping for anything positive.

Dundee have 4 goalkeepers (Carson/Legzdins/Sharp/McCracken) right now so my guess is we`ll see one come in on loan.
If anyone can remember the pin number for the bank account all the money is going into.

So on Monday a decision was taken to free up some more cash for players aswell as they now want out.
Given this, how come we haven’t brought a single player in over the last few days? I thought mcpake was full of signing ideas but it was just the Germans saying no?

Perhaps all mcpakes previous targets are now committed elsewhere, taking time to draw up a revised list of players who are available now (slim pickings).
Could also be that Cook is currently negotiating with agents of unsigned players and other clubs over loans.

I actually think all his previous targets will be signed up elsewhere although I’m hopeful the loan market wakes up once everyone else has their permanent signings in place and they decide who they could do with moving on loan.
It’s a wait and see what happens next thing for us just now

One of the biggest problems with mcpake is the over reliance of signing experienced players who he or dave players with before.
That’s leaves a very small pool to choose from to start with and I guess most of them have been signed up by now, ie Byrne at raith etc.
I’d like to see some sensible signings or players who are signed through due diligence by perhaps talking to thier previous managers and watching any highlights. This would open 99% of possible signings to us.
Or his pal at Celtic will punt us a couple of raw youngsters…
Whatever happens we need at least 2-3 players in who are championship level or it won’t help get us off the bottom of the league.
