Not a lot I can add to the tributes and expressions of sympathy above. I’d just like to say how sorry I am at this awful news. Sol was a good servant to the game in general, and of course to our club. Farewell Sol and thanks for everything.

Such a wonderful player but more importantly - human being!
Gaudreau and Bamba in the same weekend is just not right.
Tremendous sportsmen both - thank you for what you did.

Very sad news - RIP Sol.
I think it would be extremely appropriate, and highly poignant, if the Club were to honour his memory at our next game Vs the Rovers with a minute’s silence/applause and black armbands. It might also serve to re-strengthen the connection between club, players and fans.

Terrible news... we all know he`d had cancer before but this is still really unexpected. I see he had went into management in the summer with a Turkish team.
He really seemed loved where ever he went. He might have a shout as the most successful ex-Pars player ever, with the career that he had?

TBF you never beat cancer mate. It`s always there, lurking away. You live with it, try and get on with your life and hope it doesn`t reappear.
Unfortunately, it`s a fckin relentless beast.

Neil Warnock has a special bond with Sol both at Cardiff and Middlesbrough
"I can’t believe I won’t see that beaming smile again.
I’m so happy that Sol was part of my life and we had such brilliant memories together.
I’m heartbroken for Chloe and the family and all my thoughts are with them.
Sol was a ray of sunshine and I’ll miss him so much". 💔
