Can anyone advise, what it`s like trying to get away from the Falkirk stadium car park?
Never parked in there before, I usually park in the industrial estate behind McDonald`s but that not really an option now.
The road is all double yellows now and for the dozen or so spaces that are available, there is no path down to the ground due to the ongoing works.
Cheers in advance.

It`s a nightmare getting out of by all accounts. I`d suggest the college, it`s a good quality car park and the walk to the ground and back isn`t too bad.

Park in the restaurant/hotel just behind the car garage on the opposite side of the M9 flyover from McDonalds, five mins walk from stadium and easy to get away at end as just take a left and go back via Skinflats road.

Cheers for replying, Kelty,
The issue with the college is that the pavements along the main road are all barriered off. You either need to walk down passed the main stand and over at the fire station, or walk up to the Kelpies and round by b+q.
I`m thinking of trying the Kelpies but not sure if they make provisions for football supporters.
Cheers again
Edited to add, @TAFKA, there are no pavements to walk from that hotel now, you would need to walk on the main road.

It’s a nightmare at the stadium car park, takes at least 30 mins to get out. Also as your boxed in you can’t get away early if getting pumped.

What`s changed that the industrial estate isn`t an option? Seems mental to take away a perfectly safe area that encourages away support to move away from the stadium and town.

It`s part of a regeneration to the area. Upgrading road links, possible housing, hotel, leisure/shopping areas.
Works ongoing for another couple years,
I work in the college in Falkirk and it`s been a pain in the bottom at times. Will only get worse as the work continues.

I`m confused. Is that not where we traditionally park?

When they designed the stadium they didn`t take into account the amount of space a horse and cart takes up.

Hi Wee Eck, The industrial estate at the back of Mcdonalds/across from Arnold Clark, now has double yellow lines up the main road. There are still parking spaces in the respective companies` areas for workers/visitors.
It may be possible to park in there, but the pavements that used to lead to the ground from the industrial estate are now not there, so you would need to walk on the main road. Hope that makes sense 👍

Cheers, dpard. I always walked up the main road anyway so that should be OK. Thanks for clarifying!

Some advice for those that will park at college (I work here )If your going to park at college, as you go into college park on left hand side park there or take the first right and park here as there is no barrier, if you go further down and park in the next section there is a barrier here which may be closed at anytime, however I think on the exit the barrier here is still off ,
We better win or I get more pelters from the scum

I think most people will still park in West Mains and walk up the side of the road

Hi dpard
I am in business development, like other departments running with a shortage of personnel! So I have a large caseload of students because I do all awards

Helix Car-park and a walk through the park is an option as well

Yeah, it seems to be the way. I`m down in the plumbing department. We seem to be ok at the moment though.
Our apprentice groups are half full of Falkirk fans (never mind some of the staff), so could really do with a result on Saturday 😅

Dpard I know what you`re up against! But I have a good feeling about this Saturday ! But we certainly have to take the game to them as they will not expect this , I am on holiday at present in Tenerife so not back till middle of next week ! So miss 2 important games, and can only hope we turn up and for once and take the few chances that come our way , will give you a text when I`m back at college so we can have a coffee

I usually just park in either the B&Q in industrial estate near ground or near screwfix. Never any issues.

I just had a look at their website, it says their car parks fill up early so park at the stadium and walk through the park.
Caveat to say that`s "nice weather and holidays" and "unavailable on match days".
The statement Stanza linked to says ”the temporary walkways that Balfour Beatty have put in place are there for safety reasons, so please make use of them rather than walking on the roadway itself".
Does anyone know if that refers to the road up the hill towards the college/Grahamstown/town? Could it be that rather than all the pavements being blocked off as suggested? It seems unlikely on a main artery in/out of town.
Still can`t decide whether to take the car or train, either way I`d probably be going down/up that hill.
Cheers

Seen on P&B post that the college has plenty free parking so that’s where I’ll most likely be parking.
