Yes. No update on the outcome though.

This has been pretty shoddy, bordering on diabolical from our board in terms of communication.

I can understand the club not commenting on Tidser as it`s a private matter, but surely a short update could be given to say Bord and Co are the preferred investors, it`s gone to the SFA for consideration and the outcome is <whatever>.

Presumably shareholders are being kept informed?

What I`m interested in is if they will come in as 95% owners as has been suggested.

I would imagine in a situation like this there is no point in saying anything until the entire process is complete. Confidentiality is another consideration.

Not surprising though is it? Thats been the same for years from both boards since admin. Nobody seems to have any sort of understanding on how to communicate with their customers aka the fans.

What do you want to know like?
And why?

What difference is waiting a day, week or month going to make to you?

Why do you think you should get an update?

The process is well underway, there are confidentiality considerations, just let them get on with the process and get the deal done. Then we can get an announcement

I believe everything will align with the media duties tomorrow. We will announce the takeover, followed by the new manager, and then a series of interviews thereafter.

Because it’s our club as fans, it’s us that keep the lights on at EEP by attending the games and spending our hard earned cash.

We’re not asking them to break confidentiality, I would’ve thought they would’ve put something dead generic up that probably still doesn’t tell us anything but serves as a bit of acknowledgement that we are here.

With all the noise in the papers and forums on Tidser, Kelty Hearts even putting a short statement out on him, we’ve had zero, zilch, nada.

It then stirs up a lot of tension, we’re getting more informed updates on our situation from other places than our club which is appalling to be honest.

The deal surely has to be done as it looks like if not then what happens to the new management? Plus we owe compensation to Kelty?

Can we just go to a tribunal and move on if we can`t come to an agreement. Really don`t think Kelty will get a great deal of money for a guy with 4 months on his contract.

I think you are wrong. Everything points to next week.

Even if the Club gave exactly the same information as various other "sources", at least they would be communicating with us. We don`t need to know all the legalities. I wonder if Michael Tidser even knows who he`s working for.

Happy for it to take time rather than a quick turnaround. It’s important that business is carried out diligently and professionally.

You can give an update to your fans without breaking confidentiality - if you cant, you shouldn’t be in the role of a customer based job.

Obviously it`s a delicate time regarding what can and what can`t be said but the almost complete radio silence from the club is pretty poor.

The Courier have updated that the negotiations are still ongoing and it`s complicated as Tidser is a player manager and they want money for McDonald too. Likely JM in the dugout this weekend, though it`s noted the game may be off due to the weather.

Also says the takeover is not affecting the move for Tidser and McDonald other than it`s a distraction.

can anyone point to a club (other than a whining blue one) who release regular statements on events at club that they feel adds real value to the supporters? Some folk seem to want statements about everything.

It doesn’t require a “statement” of sorts, but an update would be nice……the ongoings of takeovers and manager replacements have been in numerous news articles in recent weeks and the clubs remained completely silent on it all.

In a world where communication is now so easy, a small “takeover talks are ongoing and talks have been held with a club over compensation etc” wouldnt be that hard - would it?

Who is demanding statements?
People are just commenting the club has said nothing.

There are a lot of legal constraints on whether anyone can say anything. There are also company takeover “arms length” agreements that are required to be fulfilled in negotiations as we are talking about shareholders here. There are definite legal ramifications for these takeovers. Added to the fact that an employee will be taken on. Who does he work for? Old business or new business. The takeover and management changeover happening at the same time are quite complicated, I imagine. So we have takeover law, employment law, compliance law, financing law, SPFL regulatory law, the list goes on. I can understand the silence, but can also understand people’s frustration.
