Reported that they’ve been offered NDP rent free for next year and all debt owed to stadium owners put on hold until next summer.

£260k they are in debt to owners over stadium.

I guess this could help them financially next season. But it won’t have any impact on their appeal, since the deadline for sorting this has long passed and it’s still clearly not resolved. This issue was also only part of the reason for 3 of their points deducted.

Having this debt outstanding for another 12 months won’t do them any favours in claiming that they don’t have the financial problems and doesn’t change the fact that they have failed to play players on time, failed to report this in a timely manner and also lied about having paid these sums to have an embargo lifted. That’s what 12 of their points were deducted for.

Hopefully this gesture does help them to survive as a club though.

Other reports state it`s over half a million owed. The £260,000 is the amount owed for the 23/24 season.

Presumably, the stadium owner is only doing this belatedly and somewhat desperately to try to protect their investment.

If Accies end up liquidated, the stadium owner likely loses all that they are owed and will no longer have a tenant going forward. Likewise if the club goes into Administration and a 0% (or similar) CVA is the only viable solution, the money owed is totally lost.

By not coming to an arrangement with the club before the SPFL deadline, the stadium owner is far more likely (as a result of the subsequent points deduction as part of the overall punishment and resultant relegation) to face one of these less palatable possible outcomes going forward.
