 You’re having a scarf
Topic Originator: Parboiled
Date:   Tue 15 Nov 21:39

Woman observer ejected from Holyrood committee room for wearing a politically motivated neck warmer. Apparently colours of rogue scarf had some connection to the Suffragettes who campaigned to get the vote. And get women into Parliament.

You couldnae make it up.

Presumably because those colours are also associated with the anti-trans rights group For Women Scotland/Women Won`t Wheesht.

Edited to add "rights". They're not an anti-trans group but object to new trans rights allowing for self-ID.

Far more likely. I doubt 1 in 10 people could even point out the colours of the Suffragette movement.

The colours have been adopted by the WASPI ladies ie, those Women born in the early 50`s who have seen their State Pension age increased by 6yrs in one foul swoop!

Can people not agree to what colours are used for what. Can`t have multiple groups using the same colours. Bad enough that St.Mirren and Ayr nicked our colours after Hearts stole the original ones.

My understanding of the situation is that one or two security guard acted outwith their authority after which the parliament officials (including the Presiding Officer) profusely apologised for what happened and reprimanded the staff in question, saying that it should never have happened and would certainly never happen again.

Would that be a reasonable understanding of it?

That was my understanding of what happened but of course some presented it as an SNP B-A-A-D story.

Parboiled, I realise you revel in your image of being a purveyor of childish humour but some of your posts are in very poor taste.
