Clyde Post Match Interviews

Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Monday, 11th May 2009

Highlights from interviews given by John Brown and Jim McIntyre after the game against Clyde at East End Park.

John Brown
John believes that under the terrible conditions his team applied themselves well and deserved to come away with the last point of the season. He admits that the players may not have had the quality over the course of the season but it was not the lack of effort that has seen them relegated. Brown hopes to meet with the directors to discuss the budget before the start of next season.

Jim McIntyre
Jim is honest and realises that neither side done enough to win the game and hat a draw was fair in what was an ultimately poor game. After what was a poor run of form, the manager is happy that the club has managed to finish as high as it could in third place. Although not completely satisfied overall it is an improvment on last season in both cup and league competition. With players Scott Thompson and Scott Wilson leaving the club, McIntyre pays tribute to two great servants for the club and knows they will be sorely missed on the pitch as well as in the dressing room. Rory Loy and Jamie Mole also recieve plaudits having both completed their loan spells at the club from Rangers and Hearts respectively.
