Class eventually told at New Douglas Park with the Pars running out winners by 3 goals. After an even and goal-less first half, Wallace finished off a neat move within 20 seconds of the restart. A second Wallace goal midway through the half secured the points before Thomson added a late third.

Dunfermline head through to New Douglas Park on a high despite the late loss versus Aberdeen. Hamilton have been struggling recently but no doubt they will be up for this game.

The standing ovation that the Pars received after the final whistle was an acknowledgement of the way the team had played, as well as testament to the inequity of the result.
Dunfermline dominated the first half and were a little unfortunate that Jamie Langfield and the woodwork had stood between them and a deserved lead.
Although the game was more even in the second half, the Pars again came close to scoring on more than one occasion, before the Dons snatched an unlikely winner deep into stoppage time.

The Pars kept up their good start to the season with a win, this time over bottom side Dumbarton. After an escape when a Lithgow header crashed off the underside of the bar, the Pars just about deserved their half-time lead when Kirk tapped home following good work by Falkingham on the left. A second goal at his second attempt by Stephen Husband had the Pars comfortably ahead and they could have scored more, with Wallace spurning a couple of good chances later on.

Paul Gallacher’s early penalty save inspired the Pars to a home league win over their oldest rivals. After Gall had flung himself to his right to save Brian Graham’s 17th minute penalty, goals from Wallace and Falkingham had the Pars ahead at the break. Graham pulled one back with a diving header but Barrowman finished off a fine move to clinch the victory.
