Inverness Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Monday, 21st Dec 2009Highlights from interviews given by Greg Patterson and Terry Butcher after the game against Inverness at East End Park.
Greg Patterson
Greg finally got his chance to make his first team debut but he explains he was worried the game would be cancelled due to the wintery conditions. Although the young goalkeeper was disappointed not to get three points he is still pleased to come away with a clean sheet on a challenging surface. Following Greg Flemings injury the club brought in Chris Smith as a loan replacement and Patterson admits he thought his chance might not come but it seems it was meant to be and with a good performance he hopes he has done enough to keep his place.
Terry Butcher
Terry firmly believed that the game would not end up as a nil-nil draw but it transpired to be the case although both teams pushed for the winner towards the end. Some of his more flair players struggled in the conditions, he realised it may have been a missed opportunity for both sides to climb the table but he is confident with the games coming up. Dunfermline debutant, Greg Patterson receives praise from the opposition manager on a decent performance but he admits that he would have preferred to have worked him more.
