Pars Supporters Football Trust
Date: Monday, 9th Jun 2003DAFC are very keen to get this up and running so that supporters club together and form the Trust.
The legal fees for drawing up the constitution etc are paid for by the Scottish Executive. A committee is elected and members pay an annual subscription of say £10 or £20, this is then used to buy share capital in DAFC, or members can pool their own private share holdings.
Once the share holding is large enough, this figure is not yet known, the members elect a representative who will be a member of the Board of Directors. Yes that is right a fan on the Board.
If we let this go the chance will be gone, we have a good Board just now who are very keen to bring us on to the decision making committees.
I think that Lothian 68 supporters club are keen to start things off. The best way would be for representatives from supporters clubs, this web site and others to get together and then arrange a meeting with club officials and get the ball rolling.
Time to get off our butt`s and take a part in the running of the club we all love.
The above message was taken from the messageboard and if there is any interest from pars fans who frequent the web site then please email editor@dafc.net and we can help bring people together.
